As a parent, watching your child grow into themselves is one of life’s greatest joys — and for the past 8 years, SMDC has been an essential part of that journey for my daughter. She started dancing here when she was just a baby, and now, as she approaches her 9th birthday, I can honestly say this studio has helped shape her into the confident, disciplined, expressive, and joyful young girl she is today. From her very first toddler class to competitively dancing she now participates in, every step has been filled with care, encouragement, and professional guidance. The instructors at SMDC don’t just teach technique — they nurture self-esteem, resilience, teamwork, and creativity. They meet each dancer where they are, helping them grow both on and off the dance floor. My daughter has learned the value of commitment, the excitement of performance, and the importance of community. But beyond the choreography and recitals, and competitions it’s the environment that truly sets this company apart. It feels like family. The friendships my daughter has made here are meaningful and lasting, and the mentorship she receives from older dancers and teachers is something I deeply cherish. If you’re looking for a place where your child cannot only learn to dance but also develop confidence, character, and lifelong memories, I can’t recommend SMDC highly enough. It’s been a foundational part of my daughter’s childhood, and we are so grateful for the love and passion they pour into every dancer. — A Grateful...
Read moreMy daughter is in her ninth year of dance at StarMarkers. She started in a clogging class and after the first year started on a clogging competition team. Nine years later, she is now on teams consisting of clog, tap, jazz and much to everyone's surprise, hip hop. This is all thanks to the hard work, dedication and love that Christi has shown to my daughter. She has turned her into a well rounded dancer. I have said on many occasions that I am so blessed and thankful to be part of the StarMakers family, and they truly are like a family. Christi is not only passionate about dance, she is passionate about each of these girls. She not only teaches dance, she helps teach life to them and tries to lead and guide these girls in the right direction. As my daughter is now a senior and in her last year of classes at the studio, it makes me sad to think that we won't be there next year; however, Christi along with the other teachers have helped prepare Rachel for college next year, as she plans to dance with the Bailey Mountain Cloggers of Mars Hill University. None of this would have been possible without Christi Stanton and the StarMakers...
Read moreStarmakers has been like a second home to our family for the past 10 years! My daughter has grown up in their dance and tumble program, and the experience has been nothing short of incredible. In tumbling, she’s progressed year after year, guided by an encouraging and dedicated staff who support their athletes both on and off the mat. Their coaching helped her qualify for both Regional and National competitions — an amazing accomplishment!
On the dance side, the opportunities have been just as extraordinary. She’s competed at the World Dance Championships twice and even had the unforgettable experience of dancing internationally in Ireland. The dance instructors are truly gifted — especially the tap and clog teachers, who regularly earn choreography awards for their exceptional work.
Beyond the training and accolades, what truly sets Starmakers apart is the community. The staff has become like family, and the lifelong friendships my daughter has formed at the studio are priceless. We are so grateful to be part of such a supportive, inspiring, and empowering environment. We love Starmakers and can't recommend it...
