Waffle House — Restaurant in South Carolina

I was disappointed because I walked in to order my food consisting of 2 cheeseburger plates with hash browns and also I ordered a large chili beans. I proceeded to pay approximately $29 and I gave the person who took my order at five dollar tip I stepped out to wait with my friend. I waited a few minutes and then went back inside to pick up my order. It wasn't until I got all the way home and noticed that my chili beans were not there. I tried to call the waffle House to let them know that I would pick the chili beans up at a later time but , as you well know you cannot call the waffle House anymore. This is not the first time this has happened to me at this particular waffle House I don't recommend anybody trying to get a to-go order from this waffle House. Just to make sure I'm talking about the same one where this happened to me, it's the one between breakers and the circle k convenience stores on 176 Asheville highway.. I thought paying almost $30 for the food was a bit much and then on top of that they left off my chili beans... There was only one other customer in there so it's not like they were busy . I didn't check the bag because I assumed that they was doing their job correctly especially since they was only one other customer in there waiting at...

May 27, 2023 Evidently 9:00 p.m. is shift change. Wife and I stopped in after LOD (darts) down the street, and it was almost empty. We sat down and after about five long minutes was told someone would be with us "shortly". We could hear waitress yell to someone in the back: " you have a table out here". After another long five minutes, the same waitress offered to get our drinks. My wife asked if we could go ahead and place our order; we were told: "No, your waitess is in back. She will be with you soon." So the waitess brings our coffee, and we wait, and wait, and finally (after yelling in back two more times) the same waitress (who was supposed to be getting off) came and took our order. She stayed and waited on us until we were done. We tipped her well. I think it must have been 9:15 before the next shift finally came out. I wanted cheese melted on my eggs; the cook throws it on last minute so I got cold cheese. As one can see from my earlier review (below), I don't just complain, I call it like it is. If it's 9:00 p.m. and you're hungry, find a different place to eat.

Waffle House 818 is un sanitary and poorly managed. The employees partied, laughed, and socialized noisely the entire time we were there. Someone behind the counter decided it was time to mop the floor. He dumped floor cleaner from a large bottle into the floor right next to us. This took place behind the counter. He then scrubbed intensely. The smell was not complimentary to dining. I looked over the partition to look at the floor. It was littered with lids and a cup. Under the cook counter hadn't been swept recently. The cooking counter had a soda with straw and a to go coffee cup that I assumed must belong to staff. One young lady working behind the counter frequency used her cell phone to text, I assume. Our waitress flopped a customer bill on the floor. It landed in liquid. She picked it up, shook it and placed it on top of a closed waffle grill so she could duplicate it on her pad. The cabinet fronts under the waffles irons were filthy. They looked as if they were never wiped down. This experience at Waffle House was shocking. The store needs to be deep cleaned, the staff needs training and adult supervision is necessary. How does this store ever pass...
