After some really bad experiences at my local Florida area Mercedes-Benz dealers, I decided to travel out of state to purchase my next Benz… and I sure am glad that I did! From about 10 minutes after I submitted my online inquiry, top notch h service was provided - I was contacted by Jeff Campbell who answered every question and made me comfortable purchasing a car out of state and his dealership was the right thing to do. He was detail oriented and made sure to address ALL of my questions and requests. Also had the pleasure of interacting with Mark Roberts and Massamba Mbao, who were also both superlative. I’d say my only disappointment was not receiving a response from Luke Elder, General Manager, when I reached out to him twice. Not a big deal though, as I purchased my S-Class when I flew up to Birmingham from Florida to test drive the car. Jeff even picked me up from the airport! Many, many thanks to Jeff Campbell and team. Perfect customer service, which is to be expected when doing business with a high end, luxury brand like Mercedes-Benz.

I am leaving the parking lot. I walked around in this showroom for over 10 minutes, looking inside every vehicle and at tags...I am sure your cameras will reflect my visit. I saw over 7 to 9 persons talking to one another. Unfortunately, not a single person asked to assist me or ask did I have a question. If this is a self-help, AI, do it yourself then I missed the sign posting. I did not have a service appointment, but came to seriously purchase a vehicle, since my Mercedes is a 2018. After this experience I will return to the Montgomery location. I hope others encounter better service!!

After a 12 year relationship and 9 vehicles with Mercedes, my husband and I walked. This dealership has gone downhill fast. Two weeks ago we went to see about our options at lease end and made an appointment on a Friday afternoon. When we got there, our appointed salesman was busy, so we got passed off to an associate who had all of three weeks’ time as an employee. Most questions asked were answered with “I’m not sure/don’t know/will have to look into that.” I knew more about the cars than the sales associate. Not angry with him; I imagine he felt as awkward as we did as veteran customers. Didn’t find anything on the lot due to availability, but decided to see where we stood on our lease turn in as far as equity and trade in value, etc. The trade in value we were offered on a two and a half year old vehicle with less than 16k miles was disappointing. We were offered (after someone realizing it was available) the make and model we were searching for that was just released from the loaner program. A few miles on it, but not an issue. We start working numbers on the trade (again, not super thrilled by our trade in offer), and reach a number we’re ok with. I ask if I can run my credit card for the down payment (so I can get points/miles) and am told that’s ok. Run my credit card for down payment. Get told there is a recall on the car that isn’t a safety issue (faulty taillight seal) but they want to fix it before selling it to us, and they allow us to take the new car home as a loaner and will follow up within the week when the part for the recall comes in. A week later, call saying part isn’t in, but will touch base end of the next week. Three days ago, get a text saying part isn’t in, but they’ve found a “loophole” which will allow us to close the deal and get things out of limbo, but they need to refund my credit card for the down payment and need us to bring it in cash. When I asked about the reason for that I was told they couldn’t take credit cards for down payment, yet I’ve used a credit card for my down payment every single time I’ve bought a car from Mercedes, and couldn’t get a straight answer. When I asked what kind of “loophole” was found to close the deal, I couldn’t get a straight answer. Seemed like the recall was going to take a while to fix and it was the end of the month and they were trying to close a deal for quota. Every alarm bell in my head went off and my gut told me to walk. We took the “loaner” back and got our car. No one higher up was waiting to talk to us or give us any answers. No one seemed to care that the deal had gone sour. I left the sales manager a voicemail in his cell the next day (he wasn’t at work according to the receptionist with a cold attitude who barely acknowledged us), and he has yet to call me back. Great experience with Djiby Tall, Russell French and Melissa (in service) HOWEVER Run, don’t walk, if Roger W. is your Sales Manager! & Proceed with caution. He ruined the reputation of the establishment of Mercedes Benz of Birmingham, its investors, and the brand in one stroke. And seems to me (that’s the only explanation I can come Up) that their bosses empower this type of behavior.

There is one thing that’s good about this place is their facility. After that, it’s downhill and also how they it’s structured to treat their own people, let alone customer. Service folks are super helpful and nice from an interaction we’ve had. We have a complete history of the experience on BBB.

Selling a vehicle while ignoring serious issues is not only unethical but a major red flag for any business. While I understand that many buyers at this dealership may be in a different "caliber," ethics should remain central focus to every transaction, regardless of the price tag. when you shake hands, you promise to stick by your service first and your product.

We purchased a fairly expensive used Mercedes from them. Here are the highlight of what happened in span of 6 days of actually owning the car.

Don’t believe their 140 (or whatever the number is) points inspection. Unsafe practices Dismissive attitude from sales manger Unethical behavior from sales manger Noncorrective action plan. Seems like this sales manger and service manger don’t work together or don’t want to work together. Ultimatum and bullying type of solution.

When I raised my concerns and dropped off the vehicle for service that I had discussed during sales cycle, the sales manager called and flat-out refused to do anything, claiming they had "already spent so much money on the vehicle’ I asked what can we do to Come to a solution and his only solution was to back-track the transaction (in less than a min discussion). Really, his ONLY solution. I was flabbergasted that he is part of any team like structure , and let alone customer facing manger. Mind you, I had never talked to this guy during any of the sales cycle process. His tone was intimidating, dismissive and annoyed to have to deal with this. And he is above it. Of course, this is more of a subjective outlook and I understand I may be biased at this point. But tangible facts don’t change; I thought about in half a second and Car is back on the market, within a day, with $1000 less. And before our purchase, it had been in the market for more...

I had to write a review about this specific dealership. I live in NY and I purchased a car from them back in May of this year. Although I have never bought a car on line Aria made the sale very easy comfortable. From the purchase to the transportation everything went smoothly. But that isn’t why I wanted to write this review in particular. Today’s situation is why I am writing this review.

When I bought the vehicle the second key had to be ordered and I was waiting for the key to come in. It had been a while so I put in a call to see what the issue was with the 2nd key. I was told that it had come in and would be sent via overnight mail to me on Thursday so I would receive it on Friday midday (today). When I didn’t receive a tracking number I called this morning and was told that they missed the FedEx driver and that they had to use UPS instead. That meant I would receive the key on Monday or Tuesday of next week. Well that would be a problem because the car was being sent overseas on Monday and I had a service appointment set up for Saturday because the car must be present so the key can be programmed. And I made a service appointment at a local dealer for Saturday at 2pm and now all the hassle for the key would be for nothing and I would have a second key for a car that would be shipped out of the country that wasn’t working and would be basically garbage. So I asked for the manager to call me back so I can voice my displeasure and let them know that it wasn’t right.

So I get a call back from NICK HOLLOMAN the Sales Manager. What can I say. This gentleman was a SUPERSTAR! ABOVE and BEYOND to get me this key to my designated dealer for tomorrow afternoon programming. The guy hit in a car and PERSONALLY DROVE the fob to FedEx and had it shipped to me for Saturday morning 9:30am delivery. Unbelievable! This person NICk deserves recognition for how he handle the situation and got it resolved in the most PROFESSIONAL fashion and without hesitation. All I can say is THANK YOU VERY MUCH NICK! You have no idea how much I appreciate what you did for me today. You deserve a promotion for the level of excellence that you bring to that dealership and for Mercedes Benz as a company. More people should care and have his work ethic. You are an example of excellence in my eyes....
