With family, went for a weekend fishing day out to " Limestone Springs Preserve" 930 Tulpehocken Rd, Richland, PA 17087-9723. A calm cool wonderful place. It's May 1st week and the weather was pleasant. Perfect place for fishing. All equipment required for fishing is available for nominal rent. Or u can bring your own. Admn fee is $2 per person. No fishing licence required. Rent for fishing rods etc is $10. There is a facility for cleaning, cutting and cooking the catch. If u wish to use the grill and gas under a shelter, the rent is $33. You will have to pay for the fish u caught. The fish available at the stream belongs to the Salmon family - rainbow trout. Though we tried our level best to catch a bright golden yellow trout, they were more clever and escaped! But other trouts fall prey easily! The stream flows through a serene place where mallards(wild duck 🦆) with chicks swim fearlessly! Before 3.30, we have to pack up. Thoroughly enjoyed the trip! Kids will also...

Read moreI brought 8 elementary boys to fly fish there. It was awesome for the boys. The staff was great. I had one student not catch one and it was past closing time. The staff themselves took him to a different spot and let him catch his fish after closing time.
Was way better than I expected it to be and highly recommended. I would suggest to use some sort of artificial because if you use bait you will catch them way to fast.
I bought inexpensive tenkara rods (Japanese Fly Rods) from Temu for like $10 and bought a few braided lines 3 for $10 and it was awesome. When you really need a kid to catch a fish use a Pheasant Tail Nymph with a tiny bobber. The fish take flies on top...
