Chapel of the Sacred Heart — Local services in Jackson

This is a very cute chapel nestled in the trees with a great view of the lake and the mountains. The chapel is constructed of logs, and is small, but has an almost cathedral feel to it, with high A-frame ceiling and buttresses as decoration on the outside walls. My wife and I stumbled upon this church as it happened the same day we visited the Transfiguration Church in the Tetons as well. This church is very beautiful. It overlooks one of the lakes and has a very peaceful feel to it. I love the stained glass window there at the pulpit. The Church still does mass and can be reserved for ceremonies such as weddings. Great place to stop if you are passing by, but I wouldn't make a detour just to see it, if I'm...

This turnout has a chapel that I did not go see. I parked in the parking lot and took a 100 ft or so trail to the rock beach to set up a towel and hungout with my dog.
