I am a firefighter working in the park. Dornan's has been my go to place for all-you-can-eat meals at the Stagecoach, baked goods and groceries from the Trading Post, and Pizza and Pasta at Dornan's. I will now drive 26 miles round trip to Jackson for groceries. I bought a few items (receipt photo attached) on a Friday and left with my receipt. The next day I saw that I was overcharged for the single apple purchased. It isn't possible that a single apple could weigh 2.38 lbs. I just returned from a fire and did not want to spend weekend time disputing such a small overcharge. I returned Monday with my receipt and the apple to bring it to their attention. I was told by an employee that the scale was just replaced because it was broken. He went to ask other employees how to do a refund and they told him not to because: "How do we know that he didn't buy a bunch of apples?" "It's been three days how do we know it's the same apple?" "At the top of the receipt it says 'ALL SALES FINAL'. " So according to their logic; (1) a park employee came in to Dornan's to dispute a $5.93 charge on a $33 dollar purchase (2) the broken scale was not a factor (3) This firefighter may be dishonest and might be lying to us. Maybe I wasn't getting enough overtime this season working hard. Perhaps I was hard pressed to boost my bank account by $5. I despise getting ripped off by companies. I am going to bake my own goods, inform others about my experience and not give a penny to any of the places mentioned above. (In writing this review I rechecked my receipt and found a second error. Not only was the apple charge incorrect, but I was also charged for (2) 1lb ground beef packages when only one was purchased. I am absolutely disappointed.) I'm glad I asked for a receipt because I was so tired that I didn't notice that the cost of my groceries was almost $10 higher than it should have been. Man what a poor experience that was. Be vigilant, always ask for a receipt and make sure to...
Read moreI only visited the gift shop, but it was just uncomfortable to be there. It felt like the worker at the counter was staring at us constantly, almost as if she expected us to steal something. All three of us felt this way. Odd vibes. It made us want to leave. Products are fine. Pretty standard. Expensive prices, but that's to be expected from gift shops I guess. I was disappointed in the selection of stickers and shot glasses (things I collect). Cool hats though! I think it could be improved with light music and workers who don't stare at...
Read moreDrive on by unless itâs essential!!! Especially for not stop and eat. They are short staffed, employees are transit from out of state and no experience. Youâre better off making a sandwich. My order was lost, all served and departed who ordered after me, order was lost and manager argued with me about my order until I had them pull my receipt. All in all for breakfast and a coffee it was a 53 min waste of time I cannot get back. Oh and the employees wore sunglasses at 8 am!!! What does that indicate ??? The world has become a sad state...
