Miles met us with an amazing spirit, a wealth of ideas, and coffee- teenagers got hot chocolate and we were off at 6am. We booked the Yellowstone Hiking Tour with TSS because I knew from experience that the caliber of their programming was beyond compare. Miles encapsulated everything that TSS stands for; learning through experiencing, nurturing curiosity through discourse while hearing multiple perspectives, and discovering the macro and micro of the natural world around you. Miles is a natural teacher. His ability to engage the 14 and 16 yo, and the 52 and 55 yo was impressive. We were awed by his wealth of knowledge (biology, botany, geology, geography, history, and ‘geothermalogy’), but even more awed by the unassuming and humble delivery of that information. We will return for every trip they offer; outstanding in every way. Thank you, Miles. We learned and enjoyed more than you know. Another TSS tenet that Miles passed on to us, was that of continuous education. He recommended several podcasts about local issues to help further our understanding of the greater...

If I could give 100 stars, I would! Our sunrise wildlife tour with Teton Science Schools was nothing short of magical, and that’s entirely thanks to our incredible guide, Kevin. He was not only exceptionally kind and accommodating, but also an absolute expert—his knowledge of the local wildlife and ecosystems was astounding and we thoroughly enjoyed learning from him.

We saw an incredible variety of animals (bison, moose, mule deer, osprey, and more!) Kevin clearly has a deep love for the area and its wildlife, and his passion made the entire experience so much richer.

We also had our 15-month-old son with us, and Kevin went above and beyond to make the experience enjoyable for all of us. He included our little one in the fun, helped us out when we needed breaks or diaper changes, and was patient and thoughtful throughout.

This tour was the highlight of our 5-day trip to Jackson Hole. Teton Science Schools is incredibly lucky to have Kevin on their team, and we are so grateful for the unforgettable morning we spent with him. Don’t...

We had an amazing tour of Yellowstone through Teton Science Schools, and Bobby was the absolute highlight as our 10/10 tour guide! From the moment he picked us up at our resort, everything was thoughtfully planned out. He greeted us with coffee, tea, and cocoa to enjoy on the way, setting the perfect tone for the day. Bobby's knowledge was incredible—he taught us so much about Yellowstone's wildlife, ecosystem, terrain, springs, and geysers. He has a remarkable eye for spotting wildlife, and we had plenty of opportunities to stop and take a closer look. The snow coach was comfortable, and there were frequent bathroom breaks. The breakfast and lunch provided were great, too! Seeing Yellowstone in the winter was breathtaking and truly the highlight of our trip. A huge thanks to Bobby for making our first visit to Yellowstone so memorable. We’ll cherish this...

My family was lucky enough to do two tours with Teton Science School during our trip to the Jackson Hole area last week. We were guided by Scott, an incredibly knowledgeable, friendly and passionate naturalist during both tours. Our first tour was in the Grand Tetons park, during which we saw multiple moose, a herd of bison, several coyotes and many bird species. Our second tour was a full-day trip to Yellowstone, and we were able to visit multiple geothermal sites as well as see moose, elk, bison, coyotes, and bird life. Scott was able to adapt the itinerary to meet my family’s preferences, and answered what must have been hundreds of questions we lobbed his way during our tours. He also gave us tons of recommendations for hikes and areas to see wildlife during the rest of our trip. We hope to be back to the area soon, and will absolutely request Scott again!

As far as guides go, Mike Rowell is as good as it gets. Mike took us around Grand Teton and Yellowstone National Park over the course of three days and taught us all about this unique ecosystem and the wildlife that resides in it. He was always happy to answer our questions and even showed us how to safety use bear spray! Thanks for an incredible trip.
