The following is a very true story that took place about three weeks ago. This is going to be a very long review but it's worth reading because I want everyone to know the truth and how well Joe Brown and the staff at PC Liquidations took care of me.
First of all!! Fantastic service is all I can say. PC Liquidations is a great place to purchase a very good refurbished computer.
If you get a chance to ask for Joe Brown then do it because he's not only a great customer service tech but he also works as a sales representative and works alongside the software and IT department. He's very understanding, exercises great patience and is and always will be willing to go out of his way for you NO MATTER WHAT!!!!
I had a desktop computer for about 9 years that just simply started to slow down and couldn't update it with windows 10 let alone windows 11. It just stopped working and it was time to purchase a new desktop.
After searching for several hours and reading endless reviews I settled on PC Liquidations because their reviews seemed to be the most simple and honest reviews. I picked a desktop computer with the exact specs that I wanted. I knew exactly what I wanted.
After about 20 minutes, that's right just 20 minutes of my desktop being up and running it shut down. That's right! believe it or not I had received what's called the "Blue Screen of Death". I thought nothing of it but then it happened seven more times and got even worse because then it wouldn't stay on for more than 10 minutes at a time.
I emailed tech support to start a support tech ticket. I was very very disappointed, upset and very frustrated because this meant that I was going to loose about a weeks worth of work and money.
Then very early the next day Joe Brown had called and left me a massage trying to reach out to me. I was very emotional about the whole thing because I was loosing time and money and couldn't believe my luck.
Joe just sat there politely and patiently listening to my frustrations. I wasn't ever once rude to him or anyone at all. No one deserves that.
Joe Brown offered a free return label along with a full refund or to spec out another desktop with the exact specifications that I require and ship it to me for free!!! I kid you not!!!
He stayed in touch with me throughout the day regarding how the desktop was coming along but then informed me that they wanted to keep it in the testing department throughout the weekend so that they can benchmark test the desktop.
The point and moral of the story is that not only Joe Brown but all those involved even all the way to the top of the chain went out of their way to help me with my desktop problems and provide very good out of their way customer service and constant communication. Not only that but they executed and resolved any and all problems right away and then constantly tested my new flawless and ultra fast desktop computer.
Thank you Joe Brown and PC Liquidations for all that you have done.
I will leave you all out there with this!! If this happens to you or anything similar to this just try to exercise patience and try to be polite to customer service because there's no need to be rude. It's usually customers that are rude.
I know I had to go through all these frustrations but I am now a new customer and I have an account with them. PC Liquidations is indeed very reliable with very good working products and very good customer service.
If you can't find what you're looking for then just call them like I did, be honest with them and let them know what you looking for and they will spec it out and test it for you.
Thank you Joe Brown and the staff at PC Liquidations!! I love you guys man! you really came through thanks! and thanks to all of you who took the time to read this...
Read moreIt has been a while since our order. We placed a few orders to accumulate four computers for a new section in our medical office that was delayed and by the end of the year COVID eliminated the reason we made the purchase until today. I knew the first two we received were terrible. Pieces missing and broken pieces etc but it was an emergency at the time. The box had way too much space inside and they were not wrapped well along with the fact that whoever did the work did not know how to properly use a screwdriver or was intentionally careless and made a real mess. As I recall, my next move was to try and only look for the ones labeled with some grade like GRADE A or maybe B. The next two we received looked packed nicely so I expected they would be better. Better is a relative thing and unpacking the first of those two today, two years after purchase, as we begin to expand our call center, there were pieces rattling around that I had to remove by turning it upside down and tilting side to side until they fell out. One was a screw and that would certainly have caused issues if I had not noticed it and it lodged inside a slot shorting some power connector. The others were the plastic clips that hold the front bezel on. Whoever opened it obviously had zero knowledge of computers and just pried it off breaking all the pieces except one... or, was an angry childlike person who enjoyed damaging something that was being sold. The hard drive is some used reclaimed drive that was made in 2012 and did not have an HP part sticker on it so just used from someplace. I picture people standing around drinking beer wearing dirty tee shirts and carelessly tearing apart computers throwing parts like hard drives in some bin not unlike a demolition crew one would hire to tear down an old house. Rip, tear, throw ... CLANK CLANK. Then later just grabbing a part here or there and shoving it into a different computer. I FORGOT TO MENTION THAT THE DRIVE SCREWS WERE ACTUALLY FLOPPY SCREWS SO THE THREAD WAS A FINE INSTEAD OF COURSE AND THE DIAMETER WAS THINNER SO THEY WERE REALLY NOT SECURED BY SCREWS AT ALL. There were a total of two of these incorrect screws, one that was flopping around and another that was hanging in the hole but could be pulled out without turning, instead of the four that shipped with the with the computer from the factory so it is a real questionable operation based on these examples. I would say that if you know your computers and have access to spare parts you might be able to find a deal from this used computer reclamation operation. I can not help but think of the old car parts junkyards we used to have all over the state. That is why I give it a two. Maybe, with a box of extra parts you can assemble something that is useful like I did with the ones that were not terminally ill (hardware issue would not allow one to continue running whether booting from a linux cd or a hard disk imaged from a matching model. Ram tested good, replaced cables in case... nothing made it better.) However, you have to consider that whatever you pay might be wasted money. My price for one turned out to be the price paid for two and I still have to get rid of the...
Read moreI purchased a few items from PCLiquidations so the fact I keep coming back is a sign that they are worth considering.
I am extremely happy with the purchase of a touch screen laptop for around $150 + shipping ($30) + tax ($10) - $10 discount code. I loaded Android x86 operating system on it and now it is a very powerful tablet at a very reasonable price.
Slightly less than satisfied with a PAR touch screen I purchased for $20 + shipping ($15) + tax ($5) - $10 discount code. Seeing the price, I suspected it might be too good to be true, and it was - the touch screen doesn't work. I contacted PCLiquidiations for help. They said to contact the manufacturer. Manufacturer said all drivers are proprietary and there was no way they would allow me access to the touch screen functionality as a second-hand buyer. Basically PCLiquidations knew that the monitor could never be used as a touch screen but they did not mention it on their website. Still, it was a reasonable price and I'm using the screen as a secondary monitor without the touch screen functionality just fine. Not a total loss.
I am satisfied with an old 2012 iPad that I purchased for $55 dollars + free shipping. The same item sells on Amazon for $77, so good deal. This one runs iOS 9 and maybe 70% of apps run on it. My brother works for apple so I knew it would have limited functionality before purchasing it. Again PCLiquidations doesn't warn you about that kind of stuff, so caveat emptor - if you are not very tech savvy don't buy stuff from this site.
Overall, the prices are good, just watch out for the shipping and tax because those charges can make your purchase not a good deal when it seems so at first. Use the discount code. Make sure the device is compatible, has the proper drivers, and can run the software you want before purchasing or you may end up wasting money. They do offer chat support and phone support so you can call in before you purchase to ask the right questions.
4 stars because the prices can be good and everything I've received from them works well. -1 star for lack of transparency during the online...
