Went to truck stop for breakfast this morning before work with a friend from out of town, boyfriend and sister and have been there plenty of times prior to today and enjoy the food. Today was the worst experience I’ve had in customer service imaginable and will not be going to the truck stop again. Thank you dale for making that happen. Ordered our food and forgot to get a couple sides of ranch, went to add a ranch to my meal and seen the waitress was preparing our to go side salads with no gloves, no big deal my sister asked to get the salads taken off the order and explained why which dale kindly agreeded to take them off. He went to speak to the waitress and came back to our table with a whole different mood change and asked us to leave in front of everyone at the restaurant. I asked why and he says “we’re not good enough” I said we had ordered food we are still waiting for my sister just asked for the salad to be taken off the order and explained why. It’s not sanitary!! She was touching menus and taking down orders, gloves should be a priority when working around food so people don’t get sick. My boyfriend said to himself that it was a waste of time and he said “what did you say?” And was getting in his face and was even getting close to me, I said could you please back up and give me space you don’t need to get that close to me and he said get out after escorting us out! Embarrassing of him, customers should be a priority but apparently that is not how dale does things. But anyway thank you dale for the embarrassment and...
Read moreUpdate - This has become one of the most efficient breakfast restaurants we’ve visited in our travels. The moment you enter and seat yourself in the large dining area, you wonder if they saw you. They do, every time and they were right there asking for your drink order and handing you menus. As your coffee is quickly served, your order is taken and your food is out before you know it. Good food, well cooked. You have to ask for hot sauce, but it arrives pretty quickly. They turn a lot of tables each day and you watch it happen as you eat, but that’s exactly what you want in a truck stop…
No frills, seat yourself truck stop restaurant with a very efficient, friendly staff even though they were busy. Lots of local regulars which is a good sign. Eggs, hashbrowns, English muffins were well cooked and came out quickly. 4 strips of bacon with my meal and 5 strips for my wife since she didn’t order hash browns, Bonus points for that! Coffee was...
Read moreIve lived in Jamestown for 20+ years and been patronizing the truck stop for as long as I can remember. Its just one of those places you go. My dad went there every Sunday. Yes nine times out of ten you end up with rotten service from the very rude and miserable staff (though its not their fault they're overworked and paid next to nothing). But you put up with that because well where else are you going to go? But lately it has gotten too bad to ignore - getting practically yelled at trying to put in a simple order for takeout for crying out loud. That and the prices have gone up while the quality goes down. They changed the way they make half the menu so you get less of something thats not half as good. When it comes down to it fond memories and tradition just arent worth being treated like dog pile and paying out the hind end for it! Wont be back here no more and I sure wouldnt reccoment it to my...
