Norway Inn — Hotel in Jamestown

I cancelled a reservation, via email, on July 9, for a September 28 stay. My credit card was charged the room. I called on October 13 and was told no one was there, as the manager was out of town. I called on October 22, and was told it would be my problem and I needed to take it up with my credit card company. I was also told I needed to take responsibility for my own life. She did state she would have to take time to look at it and she did not have time but would try. She hung up. I called back to tell her she had not taken my contact information. She did not even speak, just hung up again. AVOID THIS ESTABLISHMENT!

Follow up: Received a call from management late on Oct.22 informing me I would be credited for the charge of a canceled reservation. Later, re-charged my card. These people are apparently in need of funds needed to lie and cheat to make a living. I feel sorry for anyone this deceitful! BEWARE of any business that...

Just arrived. Found bed bugs in the first room I was given along with a strong stale cigarette smell. I kindly asked for a refund at the front office and said we would be on our way as we have not spent any nights at the motel. Was told there is absolutely a no refund policy and to prove there are bed bugs. And even if I bring proof I can not get a refund. Was told I was not allowed to "slander" their name. Was eventually given another room that still has hair in the bed sheets and blankets. A stain in the sheet of who knows what bodily fluid and urine stains on the mattress pad. I had chosen to stay here as it was a family owned business and I prefer to support local as much as possible but will sleep in my truck from now on before i ever stay...

Location is great for where we had parked truck at truck stop. Both people that I talked to on phone and in office were amazingly friendly. The room had a personal touch which really this is the only down fall I stayed up for 3 hours researching the pictures and name. Haha not a downfall. I love learning new things. Beds were comfy not bug in site. Cute little pantry shelf for guest contained things like shampoo so on and so forth. The negative things I've read about I can tell you I did not experience. I stay in hotels more often than I stay in my home due to travel for work. And I have to say this was a very homey hotel motel quiet and secure with...
