Last night I went shopping as I usually do at this store and notice a new staff, at first the girl was nice. Than I went to pay and I mentioned to my friend that the store does close at 10 not any sooner out of all the years I've been going to that store and never had this issue. The girl immediately got offended and said that they can close the store at 9:50 if no cars were in the parking lot and I told her that's not what the manager said so i was on the phone with my boyfriend telling him that this store closes at 10 and he said doesnt the one on jackson close at 10 also and i said no they close at 9 and here at 10 after I payed for my items she was aggressive towards me where she was close enough like she was going to hit me so i was getting in my car and she was was yelling stuff and I didnt hear one thing of her none professional way to handle the situation. Feb 13 around 9:30 pm. Than today February 14 i went to get flowers for my children for valentines day. I walked in got 1 flower and than chose to check out the candy but went back and got another flower so I'm standing in line to pay and she said she would help me so I was waiting for her to finish with dude in front of me and she immediately said aren't you the girl from last night and I didn't say nothing until she said I banned you from the store and I responded you can't ban me verbally and she said yes she can and that the manager above her just left and she claimed that she said she can ban me. So the items I had in my hand I put on the counter because I wasn't arguing with a child who clearly has not been trained well at her job. So as I'm walking out the door she proceeds to follow me out aggressively once again to where she is an inch or two away from my face yelling get out as I'm walking away and she is following me and I responded I am walking and she yells leave than and I respond I am leaving than she decides to tell me she is calling the cops as a threat and I responded that does not scare me especially if I'm not doing nothing wrong. And as I'm driving off she is still yelling across the parking lot while she has a store full of customers. As myself a retail manager and also I've been s shift leader I would of got consequences for that action she took. I did also call corporate today and put a complaint. I will be to taking this as far as I can because she has disrespected me and did it in front of customers when I was calm and not doing...
Read moreWhat a perfect time to tell a Chrismas story...... This evening I went to the Dollar Gereral at 1033 Home Depot with the hopes of finding a Chrismas tree, I saw one on display at the window, it was 4 ft tall. I walked in to ask if they had anymore and was told no, I asked if they would be willing to sell the demo and they said no again, but it seemed to bother them that they couldn't help, without me seeing it as a problem, I asked if they would sell it to me for 25.00 and they said they would call the manager, to my surprise, the answer was YES! I was so moved because I had looked for real trees, but this year they were far and few between. It wasn't just the fact they were going to sell it to me, but the enthusiasm they displayed while boxong it up, the kindness they showed was immeasurable and I was totally moved by it that I started to cry. This year has been tough for everyone, and what I learned in the particular with Dollar General store was that kindness still exists, the love and humanity these 2 ladies displayed was almost unreal, because during these tough times, many people have forgotten how to be kind. Their names, and don't forget it, are Amiee and Crystal. Even though kindness has been hard to find, we must always remember that it still exists and God is always here with us, just look with an open heart, be kind yourself and to others and you will be surprised that it really is all around us! Thank you Amiee and Crystal, this is an experience I will never forget!! Oh and through their kindness they sold me the tree for 7.50!!! I will never forget this day at Dollar General, and what Amiee and Chrystal did for me...Remember, kindness is everywhere, you just have to open...
Read moreWho I can assume was the “Manager” was very rude. Went today to pick up some holiday decor. Passed the chip aisle. They still had a tag up for “buy 2 Fritos or Cheetos get a multi box valued at $10 free” asked cashier to come double check and she said “yes that’s the sale” grabbed my items and went to the front. It wasn’t ringing up correctly so the “manager” was called up. She proceeded to say “that was a few weeks ago” I said “oh, ok well the sticker was still up so I didn’t know” she then says in a hateful tone “I can remove it if it’s that big of a deal” and then she walked away. I then placed all of my items down and left. Customer service has gone out the window!!!! “If it’s that big of a deal… it was $10 so I would say yes it was a BIG DEAL because the sticker was still up” but that’s okay they can keep it. The correct way would have been to say “I’m so sorry that was from a few weeks ago we can no longer honor that” cool no problem. Or even one better “that was a few weeks ago but since the sticker was still up we can honor it this one time” Rude and unnecessary. I understand people have off days, but there is no need to be rude when you are literally in a customer...
