Diamond Sky Retreat — Local services in Joshua Tree

Disclaimer! I've known Lawrence for over 20 years (we were in a band together!) so we were delighted to come over from London and stay at Diamond Sky.

Everything is perfect, there's not one thing we would change. Even if you've forgotten to bring something or you need a utensil in the kitchen - it'll be there!

Every detail has been thought about. It became one of our favourite places in the world in about 10 seconds of entering.

Rooftop beers under the Milky Way, wine and conversation around the fire pit, spinning some old vinyl, watching 80's movies on VHS, dining watching the sunset, morning coffee out the back watching the sunrise, walks out into the desert.

And of course... the quiet.

Regrettably our trip was too brief, but I guess this means we'll have to come back one day. And...

We had such a magical trip to Diamond Sky Retreat. Whether it's comfort or ambience, every detail has been thought about carefully in order to make your stay memorable. We loved all of the beautiful art, furniture, artifacts, and books in each of the carefully curated rooms. Everything was unique, interesting, and perfectly in dialogue with the stark but beautiful desert environment. The rooms are all so comfortable, the beds were a dream, the kitchen has everything you need, and the upstairs deck and outdoor firepit made for stunning sunsets and stargazing. In retrospect I wish we had cancelled our evening plans to spend more time at Diamond Sky. It's a short drive into Joshua Tree yet just remote enough to feel checked out. If you want more than just another cookie-cutter, mundane Airbnb experience, Diamond Sky is the place for you! Every time I stay at DS, I feel like I’m coming home. It’s the perfect place to unplug and unwind. From its eclectic vinyl collection, to its epic VHS collection, to its magical IPod player (PRO TIP: just press play and let it shuffle!) Each bedroom has its own distinct personality and charm, but the rooftop deck off of the primary bedroom offers unobstructed views for a spectacular JT sunset! The board game collection is sure to include one of your favorites. An evening under the stars around the fire pit is a spiritual experience.
