Update 2/14/2023. My wife and I visited Stephen’s booth at the show in Mountainhome, Arkansas in December. We bought several unopened geodes. My wife got four of them at Christmas. They were all nice. We got a special one today on Valentine’s Day. We cracked it open to a beautiful heart. New picture uploaded.
We contacted Woodie's Rock Shop on a Sunday morning back in early June. They arranged a time for us to meet them at the store. Stephen and his family were extremely accommodating. There was no pressure to buy. We purchased all unopened geodes. Have not been disappointed at all. Stephen showed us around and was very upfront and fair about all things we were interested in. Read moreTo avoid getting a solid geode, pick one that feels light for its size and it’ll not disappoint. I picked two heavy geodes hoping for some calcite but they ended up solid. That said the other 3/5 I purchased were good with one having some light pink calcite in it.
It’s worth the call or fb message to see the shop. It will not disappoint. They have a fantastic collection of rocks at decent prices. The folks that run the shop are very nice and try to point you in the right direction for geode selection.

While they were more expensive than the other sites, in my opinion it's absolutely worth it! Really great selection of different minerals inside the geodes- I found several with pyrite, beautiful calcite and even some black rutiles growing among the quartz. I will absolutely be back!
