I have been playing Darts for just a few years. Only got into it because my brother is very into Darts and let me use an extra set he had. I didn't like them much but they were heavier than bar darts and I was able to have consistency. This year I started playing way more often and decided I wanted my own set that was comfortable for me.

My brother suggested a local store that had all sorts of soft tip dart barrels to try to figure out what works for me. Because of the shutdowns that store had closed. I was not able to try many different darts to get my "Perfect" set. Then I found LazerBitz by LazerDarts Through Horizon Darts!

Yes! They are unconventional. BUT, They are AMAZING! Because of they way Horizon Darts structures it's "Dart Library" you are able to get that same, try many till you find what you like, feel. Making the LazerBitz part of that library is BRILLIANT! OK! It is a rather large investment at first, to get many different Bitz sent to you. They do, however, give you FULL Credit back for the Bitz you return. The only extra expense is the shipping back and forth. (Which I feel is totally reasonable for this convenience) I did actually go through most of the different Bitz. Because of the time frames in shipping back and forth, I was able to use the darts for about two weeks before getting different Bitz.

I wanted to keep my darts under 25 total grams to stay within competition rules and quickly learned that soft tip darts, that heavy, break tips more often. Long story short I have found that close to 22 total grams seems to be a sweet spot between as heavy as possible yet still cost (tips, flights & shaft expenses) effective.

While they are all separate pieces, they do not loosen easily. the "O" rings supplied help keep them together and rarely require re-tightening. If you use different weights within the barrel you are able to change the balance point of the barrel which also effects how you throw the dart. I am also surprised by just how much a .5 gram difference can make in the dart.

Lastly I would like to point out the EXCELLENT customer service I received from Horizon Darts! Autumn, Josh & Melody were all a dream to deal with. I mostly was helped by Autumn who offered personal recommendations, advice and accepted feedback happily and graciously. I had preconceived notions of what I would like. If I had just gotten what I was first comfortable with, I would have ended up VERY unhappy with my darts. Because of the time frames and ability to use the darts over days I am ecstatic over my final version of MY Darts

I have been shopping with HORIZON DARTS approximately a year now give or take. I am happy to leave a review on this magnificent company. I have had concerns where I needed to reach out and speak to someone mostly via e mail and I attest every e mail I sent was answered in a very timely manner. I could leave an e mail say 3:40 am just cause I’m obsessed with this newly found sport and hobby, but every single time right around that same afternoon on weekdays I would receive a response. That means a lot to me. Product wise well if you love the darts your in the right place for professional flying target finding instruments and of course they have all the accessories. And they have a very bright and colorful catalog. Everyone I have delt with over the phone or e mail has been warm and welcoming, not to mention knowledgeable. If I add anymore to this already sweet & sticky review , one might think I’m pouring it on a bit heavy but that’s never a bad thing when it’s all true . This company is the best dart supplier I have ever had the pleasure to work with. I bought my first board in 1970. After 50 years I am still in love with our sport. I found Horizon when I moved to their backyard in 1987. They were a local wholesale and retail business then; the internet was a baby. Their business has grown with the innovation of the Widow Laser Dart. Their selection in store and online is extensive. But. It is not just about darts here, this family business has always had the main focus on taking care of every customer. When you visit you see how this family business has survived. I am a small customer at the end of a long career, but they treated me with complete attention like I was their first customer.
