Amigos Grill & Cantina — Restaurant in Kansas City

My wife and I used to frequent Amigos at least twice a month. We went in last evening after the Chiefs game knowing they were probably still busy or recovering so we had a more than patient mindset. We waited 5-10 minutes to get a table, the hostess who finally sat us was extremely rude and threw the menus on the table that had water/beer residue soaked underneath. We were still patient. It took another good 5 minutes to be greeted for our drink order, our server was flirting and getting a number from a near table of younger girls. He finally came over and delivered our drinks. Very nice guy but may be in the wrong industry. My wife ordered the nachos with just cheese , lettuce and extra sour cream and made sure to tell our server absolutely no meat on her nachos.. I ordered three cheese enchiladas without onions with rice/beans. The food came out pretty quickly but the problems persisted. Her nachos came loaded with everything on them including the meat. I took a bite out of an enchilada and was loaded with onions! Couldn't believe it. I asked the server to have both remade. He came came back very quickly with her nachos , this time it was center loaded with tomatoes and onions. they had just scraped off the meat from the same plate her nachos were on! He brought my order back out and it was the exact same plate where you could still see the fork indention where i previously had taken a bite. At this point, I asked for a manager. He came over, was very polite, looked extremely stressed out and I just said we would rather not dine in and would be happy to pay for our drinks. He comp'd the meal and I appreciated that and we ended up going to a different Mexican restaurant. Wont visit this...

Honestly just giving it 2 stars because the quesadillas were good. The rice definitely was not fresh. We ordered over the phone to pick up and the woman who answered had an attitude from the beginning…. My husband picked up the food, he didn’t know what was supposed to be in it. We unpacked the bag and our full size order of amigo dip wasn’t in there. No big deal but when I called back the same woman again had an attitude and told me that she put it in the white bag. I double checked, it was just rice, so I told her this and she continued with “well I know I put it in there”… obviously not. The attitude continued and I just gave up, my husband went back to get the dip. What a waste of time, gas and money. If the dip wasn’t almost $8 I wouldn’t have bothered. Don’t...

Trying to support local and this is what we get…. Server Jazmine who was rude at hello, charged us for gratuity. She counted a 5 year old and a 6 month old baby as 8 so it could “justifiably” be added! I’m pretty sure it’s standard for a side of lettuce to come with most Mexican dishes , she charged $.75 cent extra! Any way to make the bill higher to get that gratuity!!!! 6 adults/ 4 families that will never go back!

This is not the first time I had an issue with them charging extra for gratuity. The first time the server rang in the wrong drink on my bill, added gratuity. When I pointed it out to her she took it off but not the gratuity amount. I can count! She had to go back again and correct that too! I thought it was a simple mistake until...
