Tiffany Hills Sports Complex — Local services in Kansas City

Oh boy. I love baseball, especially my Grandsons games. However, I must report the conditions of the Tiffany Springs Kansas City Sports Complex. We attended a game this morning and all of the diamonds had teams and fans at work on the fields and in the bleachers. We spent over $30 for two adults along with hundreds of others there for the same reason. The first thing I noticed, the big Sports Complex sign at the entrance is all broken, it looks like a hurricane passed recently. Next was several dumpsters as you walk from the parking to the date. They are overflowing not the ground and pretty ripe as well. So, onward and downward we go in, pay the freight, and gleefully walk a quarter mile to field 1. The score boards are not in operation. Most other fields are turf with no dust. Not here, but as the wind was from the west we didn’t have to breathe as much dust as our kids did. Thank Heavens for small favors. Okay, now for the real reason for my negative review of the North Kansas City Sports Compkex in Tiffany Springs. I needed to use the men’s room at field 1 and was it ever nasty. The toilet looked like it had not been cleaned for a long time. The floor was wet from an overflowing urinal and it just plain stunk. And the park had been open for play less than two hours. It was the first game of the day. Go figure. I bet it took longer to add up yesterdays’ receipts than it would to clean that...

This was the location chosen for the USSSA little league world series in July. For each four fields there is one bathroom with two urinals and one toilet. One of the urinals was out of service and covered with a plastic trash bag, classy. The water fountains didn't work, and it was in the 90's. The 55 gallon drums used as trash cans in the parking lot were overflowing the whole weekend. To top it off none of the scoreboards were functioning. This tournament cost a lot of money, plus it was $8. A day to get in. It is difficult for me to understand why the urinal wasn't repaired before such a big event and someone assigned to emptying the trascans. And the water fountain? I will encourage my son's coach to NOT sign up for another tournament at...

I have been disappointed w this league for 2 years in a row now. The bathrooms seem to always be dirty & then they charge for family & friends to watch the "tournament " at the end of the season which is ridiculous bc not only is this the most expensive rec league as it is they also don't ever play a whole game. Not In the 2 years my daughter has played w them & according to other families that have been w this rec longer its always been that way. They play 3 innings of a game on average, maybe 2 games they played 4 innings. How is that even considered a game & teaching anything? Esp when u say whoever is ahead at that time is the "winner" when u don't know who would win if they actually got to play the whole game....
