We were so happy when the Wainiha Country Market appeared in the space formerly occupied by a more conventional convenience store. the Country Market has everything you might need if you don't want to go into town to the Big Save. There are staples like bread and milk and citrus, but also locally produced skincare products, good wine, home-baked goods, some clothing, and locally produced stuff like poke, herbed cream cheese spreads, salsa, and local eggs.    Read moreI had a great experience with the staff at Wainiha County Market. I visited in March and parked here in the morning before heading out to hike the Kalalau Trail. From making the reservation through email to arriving at the market, communication was smooth and easy. The staff was friendly, helpful, and made the start of our adventure completely stress-free. They even gave us granola before our trip, and we were able to grab some extra snacks as well. Plus, they have the cutest coffee shop named The Haven—the drinks were absolutely delicious! We tried some amazing granola that was made locally on Kauai - so delicious and saved our butts out there on the trail when no hot food sounded appealing. The staff there are always wonderful and friendly. This last visit we were able to pay them to park our car there and then catch the shuttle to the Kalalau trail.
