Many items are less costly than non-surplus stores. But...not always. And it pays to watch expiration dates as well as quality. Great prices on bread and many frozen items. On a later date.........went shopping and found some great deals, however, I usually head count my cost and this time it was over $40 more than I thought it would be. Old registers make it more difficult to check prices as you unpack. I did find, though, that 2 items with Hugh signs saying $1.49 as package were charged at $7.99 a package. Some frozen snack like things were priced on signs as $.49 each but was charged $4.95 each, and I got several for grandkids. There were a couple other items which were overpriced on the receipt. When I went back a few days later and asked the little Amish girl in front of I could speak to someone about the price difference, she looked at me as though I was stupid, said NO and said "just read the sign", as she pointed down at the spot where a paper was taped down saying "prices corrected at register"......or something along that line. Wherever we have lived, we have visited many so called dent and bent stores, some nice, and some not so nice! Raber's beats all other same-type stores, hands down. We are amazed at the selection, quality and price. Inflation has evidently not affected Raber's, as the prices on the familiar things are very steady, or nearly steady. I applaud the owner(s) for working to keep prices down. The store is spotless, bright, and well stocked. The girls on the floor work so very hard at stocking and cleaning. We love the new barcode price scan system, and I'm sure they do, too! Every item is on your receipt, just as in regular retail markets. Please check out all their departments, including the frozen section. The bargains are unheard of, and new surprises await every week! To sum it up, we are grateful for Raber's, and hope the ownership continues to be successful. Please...

Now let's talk his store. Parking isn't the greatest but it is what it is. It's a discounted store. Personally I love it. Yes some boxes or cans are damaged but the product is usually fine. Prices are fantastic. Love the fact that I've been finding my Kodiak mixes there (yes I've bought every 1 I find),frozen foods are awesome deals. You just gotta check the place out. You won't be disappointed. They've got everything except fresh fruit n veggies. Very clean place, friendly ppl n a good size n selection of goods. He we'll earns my 5 stars
