I got my color analysis done with Amelia Keely with House Of Color in April 2024. Amelia was very knowledgeable very professional and very friendly. She helped me understand the concept of a color analysis and how it works. She works with you and makes sure you see what she sees.

Her studio is located at her private residence and it’s a very comfortable safe environment. Restroom is available, provides snacks and water. You sit in front of a window for the natural lighting. She goes through each step and teaches you about the colors.

When arriving to the appointment you want to come in a T-Shirt, no make-up at all, no perfumes, and have your hair done but bring a hair tie. Wear contacts if you have glasses. But, bring your glasses as well to check to see if they are in your color palette. I have lots of piercings and had no problem wearing all of them there.

She will provide recommendations for jewelry, hairstyle, hair color, make up, if you’re brown or black mascara and your colors. You’ll leave with a booklet of your swatches from your season and a pamphlet that includes what make up colors you are and the best colors that look good on you. She will also provide you with a website that includes inspiration photos for you to look through & provide a pinterest board for hairstyles and color for your season. You also have the option to purchase all the makeup that she puts on you for $199 which includes primer, foundation, blush, mascara, brush, and 3 lipsticks/glosses.

I also learned that your season/colors don’t change when you tan in the summer and are pale in the winter. For my future wedding, I got to find out what shade of white I am for my wedding dress, what bridesmaids would wear as what colors would compliment me from them, and found out what kind of metal I am. (Silver, Gold or Rose Gold etc.)

Don’t be afraid to bring a list of questions to ask and I’d recommend not looking up what season you think you are and wouldn’t ask friends or family what season you are. It will make for a more fun and enjoyable experience and have it be a surprise.

Some things I took away from this that would recommend: -I wish my colors in my season were also online in a document to look at rather than carrying the swatch book everywhere. -Take my time to understand which colors look best on me and which don’t and not rush. -I wish I tried on all the options for makeup when I got offered to rather than saying I hardly wear makeup and don’t need to do it all. I wish I said yes to trying every makeup option on. -The websites a little confusing to me and took me a minute to understand.

Overall, this was a lovely experience and I would highly recommend getting your colors done with Ameila! She also accommodated my schedule and fit me in! I had a wonderful experience and I’m excited to go shopping...

Amazing personalized experience for a very personal analysis! I'd also like to add that Amelia ruined my closet, haha (at first). I was looking for an anniversary idea. My husband and I are in business together, we enjoy experiences, and he also just likes going to experts. I called Amelia about doing a Color And Style analysis for the both of us. Though it was a lengthier day with 2 analysis and 2 people, she more than accommodated. We started with the color analysis. She educated us on seasons and what may happen and I was pretty sure I was an autumn. Nope, by the end, turns out I'm a winter, which destroyed 70% of what I have in my closet. I've also been dying my hair the wrong color and not selecting the appropriate jewelry for my skin tone. I didn't look bad prior to this point, but after the color analysis, I can see the extra pop. The fun part after the consult was decluttering the items that don't make us feel like a 10. As a new mom, when there are days when I don't have time to do hair and make up, wearing the right color and style for my body type already makes up for being 80% put together in my book. For the style analysis, I loved that we factored in how we wanted to be perceived and our identity so that we can be styled according to that. We went over body type and the whole experience explained why something didn't feel right with me or I looked heavier than I was but it was all in the fit. Or being petite, why certain cuts of dresses and jeans made me look extra short. We did a follow up on Zoom and she even assigned us Pinterest Boards to follow. The guides and boards she gave us totally save us when shopping. Even though things look good in store in great lighting and well merchandised, I now know not to waste the money and sometimes save the time to not even peep at it. What's great is my husband loved the experience. He's able to be concise with his time when it comes to custom suits and pairing it with ties, pocket squares, etc. The office ambiance was very professional and welcoming, so great for hosting and you can tell she owns her craft. Interacting with Amelia was so easy. We loved getting to know each other and quite honestly, the day felt like a hang out. Applying what Amelia has taught us has been life changing. Literally! We've been able to work on our closets so that no matter what, we're not picking a bad outfit to go about our day. We're saving time in even thinking about how to capsule our week and travels. And we're saving so much money on things that we know for sure do not serve our color, style, and identity. Thank you so...

From the moment I walked in, Amelia’s friendly and approachable nature put me at ease—not to mention she has all the best drinks & snacks to enjoy during our session! She has a unique talent for making you feel comfortable and confident in your own skin by the end of your session.

Using her teacher background, Amelia educated me through the color analysis process with expertise and enthusiasm, helping me discover the shades that truly complement my skin tone (I’m a “sprinter winter!”). Her keen eye for style and her ability to explain how different colors and cuts work together were truly impressive.

The Outcome: As an indecisive Libra who loves to shop, I tend to get overwhelmed by options and would get talked into buying things from the salespeople convincing me “I looked good”. I would stress buying outfits for family photos, headshots and special occasions and look back at photos wishing I wore something else— I was wearing wrong my wrong colors, following trends that weren't for my body type, and literally drowning in my clothes.

Now, after my sessions with Amelia, I can confidently select colors and styles that fit me best to compliment my body shape. It’s so much easier and way more fun shopping knowing what will look best on me everytime.

Amelia has transformed the way I see fashion, how I follow trends, and how I dress my body. It's been a 100% life-changing investment. She will make your closest your favorite room in...

5/5 would highly recommend for anyone who’s looking to simplify and elevate their style. Worth every penny. Prior to both the color and style analysis appointments, I was influenced by styles that looked good on others and assumed therefore should look the same on me. I didn’t understand why certain some clothing worked and other fits looked off and/or felt uncomfortable, like a structure blazer. It wasn’t until I met with Amelia and understood the science behind the House of Colour that things started to click. I have since felt more confident and comfortable in how I present myself in all environments (eg. girls night in, wedding, in-office looks, running around to sporting events with my kids…) and will be forever grateful for ease of which I can now pair any item in my wardrobe together. I’ve referred multiple friends and even brought my husband and everyone has shared the same feedback pre and post appointment with their experience (regardless of the end outcome). It’s shocking when you see in person how different colors can compliment/enhance or detract/dull your skin tone and once you see it, it can be unseen and will forever change how you look at colors and styles moving forward. Key benefits: time savings, cost savings (less waste in purchases that don’t feel right), confidence, trying colors and styles you might not have considered —————- Season: Autumn Style: dramatic/natural
