German Coast Farmers' Market — Local services in Kenner

A charming farmers market, with lots of local flair! Stopped by on a Saturday morning and had a wonderful experience. The vendors were friendly and informative, and the market had a great selection. They are open from 8-Noon on Saturdays. I highly recommend picking up some raw honey made by local bees and flowers from "Bees are my Business" by beekeepers AJ & Jannett Cancella, some amazing traditional pecan pralines from Ernie Elfer at "Fame Confectionary", a beautiful pineapple plant from Bob's Produce, and some of the best cuts of grass-fed ribeye I have ever seen from Dale Cox at Cox's Meat Market- who cuts the meat to order, at the thickness you request! Perfect for family's and pets, lots of samples. You must stop by and experience it...

One of my most favorite adventures! Ask questions to be sure that you are buying local grown direct from the growers. Makes a big difference in quality. I had to wait until the other buyers were finished but worth the wait! The vendors vary and there are more some weeks than others. I'm Dever disappointed.
