Nice gift shop but the old lady behind the counter in the gift area is so rude. I was picking out shells u can buy individually for an art project and she wanted to wrap them while I was still picking them out. She said “It takes a while to wrap them”. (Not sure why you would wrap shells that were like fifty cents each) When I go to check out she takes forever to ring them up even though she had me make a price list of what I got. Then wraps every tiny shell in thick moving paper. Im talking shells that are quarter size, which is fine I guess. I was going to be her age by the time she was done!! I said in a very nice way with a smile even “ if you hand me a piece of paper I can do some” you would have thought I held a gun to her head with the look she gave me. Then proceeded to say “I waited for you you can wait for me” OMG I was nothing but nice to this woman. I almost walked out! I don’t understand why people are so rude! The owner needs to...

I red great reviews about this little store so I was very happy to find it open on Sunday afternoon. Yes- finally shells, little turtles, cute boxes with shells, lots glass products, expensive paintings- but when you walk inside right away piercings eyes follow each step you take. My child touches a big fake shell- please be careful with it- we hear. Then two times “ are you done Mrs”. No I am not. Because honestly your store looks like grandma’s house and I cannot find anything. Nothing interesting for a tourist to take home to remember great vacation. Finally the sour lady sends me to the store at the end of the building. I guess that I was too poor to waste her time and also she was rushing to leave. Horrible service, expensive and seriously not interesting products- better go to Edisto Pavilion...

We were leaving Edisto Beach and decided to stop for gas and maybe some coffee at this establishment. My husband went in and paid CASH for our gas and while he was pumping the gas I asked if they could tell us where the closest place was to get coffee, since both their pots were empty, and the old grouchy lady behind the counter said very condescending “not here” and I said obviously since you saw I was looking at your empty pots. I said do you know of a place since you’re from here and I’m not? She said there is an Enmarket and I said where? She had absolutely no reason to be so rude to me. We will NEVER stop...
