Second Chances Thrift Store — Local services in Kinston

I am very disappointed with the customer service experience I received at the store. I had a hand full of items to purchase and love supporting the SPCA. I was greeted by an employee who said can I tell you something about the little girls dresses that you have in your hand? I said yes, thinking she was going to say they are cute. She then proceeded to tell me that they are now $15.00 a piece because they have a lady who comes in and tells them the worth of items. The store has a poster with the prices of all the items stating that girls dresses are $2.00 a piece unless marked otherwise. I told the employee that the dresses were not marked at $15.00 and she said she knows that but that’s how much they are and that she can now give them to me for $10.00. I decided then to put all of the items I had to purchase back on the shelves and leave. I no longer will be supporting them if they are unable to provide fair thrift store prices and stick...

Walked in got a awful stare down by the woman at the counter. Walked around found a cool item I was confused at the price so I asked and the rude man that was behind the counter also decided it was funny when I asked. A lot of the stuff at the windows you could not get to due to stuff everywhere. They are very high priced for a thrift shop. I went there to support the ASPCA but unfortunately everything Knic knac wise was outrageously priced for everything that had been donated to them. They had a teapot at $100. A set of salt and pepper shakers for $60 . Set of 2 cereal bowls with a rabbit print for $30 , and a miniature pineapple no bigger than a single shot glass for $30. I just can’t believe even though the stuff was donated, the prices are so high. At least they could do is get better...

OMG, I was there today 12/05/2020 to look 4 stuff for A 8 year old boy who has nothing an the cashier ask me how the Give me the princess Santa Claus hat with the tiara was doing for me I said just fine and then I went on to tell her about me getting the little boy and how Now he has a bedroom and he says I have no stuff and I was like girl I want to do is cry these people are helping me with stuff said somebody gave me a gift card 2 get him some stuff he needed or wanted...
