Holston Shopping Center — Local services in Knoxville

Went to Dollar General,parking not so great and it's almost always full. Only one set double doors into and out of store- not big enough for wheelchairs plus,you can only use one of the 2 doors to enter and exit. Always only ONE checkout lane open even with people lined up down an aisle. If you're lucky,a manager will eventually come out and open up a 2nd checkout lane for a few minutes. Place is understaffed almost all the time. Inside store is crowded,stuff everywhere: on floor where dropped,books&coloring books are mixed up and/are everywhere except a shelf,any shelf!!they're consistently late in unpacking and putting out truck deliveries. Once I was waiting in the single checkout line,when a man,with a full buggy,just pushed it on out the door Without paying for any of it. The poor cashier said he was By Himself and couldn't go after the man,tho he did go out and yelled at the man,who just kept walking pushing the buggy,didn't even slow down or look at clerk. Clerk had to hurry back inside for checking out other customers. He was ticked and I don't blame him one bit!!! It's always depressing to go in store caus it's stacked with items and it's rarely straightened up and kept aisles clear,or at least further apart so the shelves on each side aren't entertwining with each other. No more than one person can be in that aisle at one time. Kind of dim in there a lot. I try not to go there unless have to,but it's always Slow moving at checkout cause only one...

This is a unsafe kinda shopping center. I wouldn't recommend shopping here after dark or if you're not living in the local neighborhood. I felt very unsafe there even in the day, I had multiple homeless people harassing me for money. like I said, I guess it would be an okay place if you live there in the neighborhood and didn't have any other options. According to the shopping center could really be a nice shopping, but the property owners/managers, City of Knoxville, etc. need to do something about...

It was Pleasant The staff was eager to help me find anything I needed.Also I arrived when they marking items down and when I asked for a price on a item that was supposed to be discounted and it hadn't been marked down yet they made sure the cashier in front was aware of that so I didn't pay full price.although they was out of several items they was trying to stock as well as take care...
