My sibling clearly has a broken rib or more. It took them about 1 1/2 hours. How do they know something wasn't punctured from her ris. She was let her while multiple patients were brought in. Other people were taken it before her. I understand if if it was life and death for those patients. My sister could hardly breathe, she wanted to leave after over 1 1/2 hours. I didn't see any urgency and it could've been an internal injury She wants to go home, which didn't help what was wrong with her. I expect the utmost perfect care and I did not see that today I am not happy neither is my sister and I think a lot of other people aren't happy thank you.

My daughter just gave birth to her third child here at the new Aurora Medical Center of Sheboygan. It’s a very beautiful and welcoming atmosphere. I noticed that the Dr.s, nurses, and the assistants were very personable. It made my daughter feel completely comfortable. The quality of care is an A+. Everyone is friendly and kind. I like that the hospital is updated with the best technology. Amenities are totally awesome. It’s like having your own personal suite. The food has a little to be desired but still okay food

I am very saddened and sickened by the treatment that has been given to patients with Covid, and other ailments for that matter. There is an extreme lack of logic and intention to actually help heal people with the care being implemented. My personal experience was with aurora and Covid. I know it hasn’t been just our family to lose someone at the mercy of this poor healthcare system. What I’ve learned; YOU NEED TO ADVOCATE FOR YOURSELF.

My mom went in to the hospital because she wasn’t getting better after having Covid for a week and decided to try an antibody infusion. She was denied treatment because her oxygen levels were too low and put on oxygen right away. Because of the protocols put in place by the CDC, my mom had to struggle and fight all alone with no hand to hold for an entire month all the way up to her passing. And all the while we were unable to see her, her health started declining while in their ā€˜care’.

Communication with the doctor was extremely minimal and difficult. We never heard anything from a nurse or doctor until day four of her being admitted. While there was an incredible lack of personal communication, even her online chart was never up to date the entire month of my mom being there in regard to medications—even after being asked several times. However, they were very quick to deactivate her account once deceased.

In fact, not much of anything requested was fulfilled. My mom voiced that she wasn’t able to hear everything the doctor or nurses were saying to her because of the oxygen mask. She requested for my father to be contacted any time the doctor was in the room communicating test results and treatments. That never happened once. They even performed a procedure without any consent; my dad was never contacted and my mom was sedated and unable to make any medical decisions for herself.

Finally, we were able to see her after a family/doctor meeting where we were told they were running out of treatment options and the likelihood of her making it back home were zero to none. However, the next day we weren’t allowed, even though we were promised we would be able to see her once we knew she wouldn’t be making it. I had to say goodbye to my mom, while she was unresponsive after already going an entire month without any contact aside from messages. Throughout this terrible journey, we challenged the protocols they were throwing at us; it was no surprise that no one had any idea the reasoning behind what was being implemented.

When I finally had the chance to communicate with a doctor, I had asked if my mom was given certain treatment that is standard of care when someone with Covid is put on oxygen. The answer I received was an ā€œI don’t know..ā€ What we did find out was she was being given remdesivir, the antiviral that has been putting Covid patients into organ failure with zero proof of it actually being even beneficial to a patient with covid. Another problem I have with Sheboygan Aurora in particular is their incompetence of practicing proper hygiene and sanitation. Right before my mom passed, I saw her test for hepatitis C had come back positive. She had contracted this during her admittance to auroras ā€˜care.’

I’m angry, I’m sad, I’m sickened. The healthcare system is what should be on my mother’s death...

ALWAYS Always get a second opinion!! You have time. In December 2021 i went to ER for what turned out to be a bout of diverticulitis. Follow up ct scans, pet scans and Lung biopsy on June 17th I was told I had andinocarcinoma non small cell lung cancer! Thinking we caught early, I went along with treatment plan and 3 weeks later they removed 1 lobe of my lung.

That lab looked at lobe closer and said it was stage zero! I was thrilled, caught early.

Since the lobectomy I have had trouble breathing and have been into er too many times to count. In August 2023 after follow up ct scan, pet scan and lung biopsy I was told I had stage 4 lung cancer. I was told my cancer did not respond well to treatment if not treated i could be gone in a year. We held off on the treatment plan of radiation hoping for a clinical trial and suggested I get a second opinion for treatment.

I had appointment and all my labs were sent to Froedert and on Oct 4th received a call letting me know this wasn't cancer! Praise the lord but wtf!

Cancer clinic still wanted me to do radiation to zap out the cancer. I was like no way. No one is doing anything to me, I want another opinion. Off to MAYO clinic who also confirmed this wasn't cancer. 2 biopsies and the lobe were looked at and not cancer!

Aurora Risk management has washed their hands of the damage done to me and told me I had to deal with their lab "Great Lakes Pathology". I didn't even know I Great Lakes Pathology existed as I hit my deductible so early with all the scans I never knew Aurora didn't read their own labs.

I received a call from Great Lakes insurance company and atty. Once I gave them permission to view records, the atty no longer takes my calls, responds to emails or returns my call. Basically washed their hands of me.

I can no longer do anything without being winded and have breathing issues due to capacity. The lobe of my lung would have never been removed if this wasn't diagnosed with cancer! Praise the lord it's not.

I was put on treatment plan of prednisone then rescanned. Guess what the cancer was going away! Cancer doesn't go away with prednisone!

People don't trust ! Get a second opinion!

Beware of this lab! I have since heard of a number of people told cancer and went for second opinion and it wasn't!

Cancer is real! But atty told me labs are an art! No life and quality of life, treatment plans depends on Science! Not art.

Aurora Doctors treated me based on this labs diagnosis! I still go when I need urgent care and have respect for most doctors except 1 pulmonologist at Aurora. He told me as a group the team would monitor me and see if cancer raises its ugly head! Aurora has washed hands of any...

Update: another very poor experience with Aurora medical. This time with Dr Pond's practice. Dr Pond is a spine surgeon. On the 29th of October I had an appointment with Jenna Provance for neck pain and to discuss injections. The appointment went relatively uneventful. Jenna was going to make a referral for injections. Later that evening my neck pain became unbearable. I could not move my head without excruciating pain. I new i wouldn't get a response until the next day but i sent a message to her office requesting pain medication. Of note I can't take If there is a worse medical organization than Aurora God help us. For two years I was going to get my wellness check up and for two years my kidneys were showing that there was a problem and the doctor never bothered to bring it up. He kept prescribing me the medication that was causing the problem, meloxicam. Now I have a reoccurring UTI fever chills pain, and they want me to come in and give a urinalysis. I just had a UTI a month ago these are the exact same symptoms it doesn't take a rocket scientist to figure out that this is a UTI and I told her I would come in tomorrow because I had no way to get there today. These people should be so proud of themselves their standard of care is so horrible this will be the last year I am with Aurora.

Do yourself a favor if you're thinking about using Aurora don't, if your insurance will only allow you to go to Aurora then when it's done get rid of it and go somewhere else My daughter shattered her arm 2 years ago falling backwards out of above ground pool. She ended up getting transported to the new Aurora hospital I was in the room with her and a x-ray technician came in and started putting a board under her arm that was shattered and she started screaming and he was just continuing to do it. So I told him he was done that he had to stop then he tried to remove the board and I said no. Then 5 minutes later some tech walks in and nonchalantly tries to walk up and take the board and I told her no as well. At which time she told me she didn't like how I was talking to her and I told her not to come back to the room. Thank God they sent us to froedtert from the minute we got there freight it was only concerned about my daughter's pain and comfort a stark and dramatic contrast to the Aurora facility.

So after I left this review I received a response from somebody asking me to reach out to Aurora advocate health, I did reach out only to be cut off after being on the phone for 20 minutes and no one bothered to return my phone call so just another clear case of how bad this service is and how poor their...
