Working with Mackenzie on our honeymoon to Portugal was an absolute dream! I love to plan and would usually do all the research myself but I've now realized all of the many "pros" to hiring a travel planner. We couldn't stop raving about everywhere we stayed. We had experiences we wouldn't have otherwise had I tried to do this myself. The little details, like sparkling wine in our room upon arrival with a cute note from her, was the icing on the cake. I was so impressed with the service, the quality, the food and the location of all three hotels and resorts we had the luxury to stay in. One of my favorite perks, the prettiest olive oil bottle I've ever seen was given to us at checkout at one of the hotels. I was about to ask them if I could buy it because I couldn't fathom leaving there without this gorgeous bottle and they already had one complimentary gifted to me. I worked with Beth on our winter trip to Guatemala. It was my first time working with a travel agent and as someone who enjoys planning trips, I wasn't sure if it would be a valuable . I could not have been more wrong! This was one of the best vacations we have ever had as a family thanks to Getaway Guild. It was such a treat to have every last detail taken care of in a way that felt specific to our family needs and travel style. The trip was the perfect mix of activities and downtime (my husband even though we could have added one more activity - and that is not his typical vacation style) accommodations were top notch. We enjoyed being onsite at our hotels as much as being out in the towns. Our tour guides were wonderful and made our 8 year old feel comfortable and included.
