The worst fruit and vegetable department I have been to in my life. Rotten food is constantly left on the shelf, it seems the workers in that department have no pride in their work. If they did, they would sort produce better, pull the bad products, not mark severely browned bananas down to 59 cents a pound, that look like they will become a fruit fly haven at any moment. So gross. I have many times, picked up a zucchini or green pepper, only to have my thumb sink into a rotten spot. When I noticed that the cooling unit where the refrigerated dressings are shelved, kept the dressings at room temperature every time I felt them over the course of 2 week or 3 weeks, they rudely told me it was the defrosting cycle. Yet I checked them many, many times and they were always unchilled. The produce department employees were rude and treated me like I was a bother and not listening to their explanation. When I finally told a manager, she agreed, there was a problem, the dressings were not cold and immediately told them to pull the products from the shelf in order to find out what the cooling problem was. If the produce employees did not notice the warmth of the products for all those weeks, maybe they need more training and a better attitude. Those dressings are meant to be kept at a constant cold temperature to protect the consumers from spoiled food! Also, recently I and another shopper noticed that the stems of of the broccoli were discolored, like they get when frozen then thawed. I have had many other issues with that department over time. I am disgusted with this produce department. They obviously don't care about the consumer or about doing a good job. I will still shop there, I really have no other choice, as it is the only store in town, and I will still point out inferior produce and storage problems to the employees and the manager. (The manager was very nice and listened to my complaints by the way, unlike the produce employees who were rude and treated me like I was a pain the many times I questioned the coolers temperature. The other store employees are courteous, friendly and listen and respond appropriately to complaints, though I have had very few complaints about the rest of the store, other then the floor near the meat department that was a hazard, but is...

Read moreFor a small town grocery store, it's alright. The problem is they don't do a very good job at stocking their dairy. Often, you'll go there and many items are past the expiration date. I've had to return milk three times due to it being spoiled already, indicating a poor cold storage. But the next grocery is twice as far, so you just...
