I've gotten 2 dogs from here. My first was Abby who acted so frightened of me that she would shake when I would hold her and pet her. I bought a second dog and they were the same as siblings. Now, Abby hears my voice and she gets so excited, she is my little baby girl. The other dogmas my best friend but a couple of months ago he passed.I had Abby and his name was Gibbs as in NCIS. My sin and I were pretty broken up after the loss if Gibbs. I happened to see one day , while looking at Acarf online I find Tony, as in Dinozzo and a couple of days later he lives with me. He doesn't replace Gibbs but he's now another member of the family. He, like Abby, is now a member of the family and has made the loss if Gibbs so much easier. I think the people at acarf were kinda sad to see him go and he felt the same way but is happy with his new home. I think the pets are well taken care of and from my experience, are shown lots of love. Thank you so much for both of my kids. I ...
Read moreWe had appointment to look at two dog the first one was a little shy and the lady would not stop playing with the dog and holding him. We were there to see how the dog would react with us not them. When she had left the room to ask the manager a question we had finally got to see how the dog would act around us. We filled out the application and got told on sight that probably won’t get accepted for the dog that we had chose. The reason being because they don’t have kids as young has my fiancé’s daughter and they were “unsure of how the dog would act a round young kids” but the dog had already been tested around kids but they 9 or so. Just because of that it my family unintelligible for adoption. I do not recommend to this shelter with high hopes of adopting. For a place trying to find animals homes, they act as if you have to be the most perfect family suited to their standards and making it almost impossible to actually be...

As most places they have an application you have to fill out with things such as how long the puppy will be at home and what other animals you have and if they have been fixed. I received an email stating we were denied due to one of our dogs not being fixed. I called the facility to explain to me why that had anything to do with the puppy we were wanting to adopt. I was told...well you also put the puppy would be alone 8 hours a day and that we couldn't train the puppy if it was going to be alone everyday for that long. I explained that this wasn't the first puppy that we have had but it didn't matter. My girls were heart broken. I guess we should quit our job so we can be with a puppy all day long but yet not be able to afford to feed it. Plain ridiculous and they say they want to save these animals...
