Nice course, horrible Customer Experience! Upon arrival on Friday morning 05/14 , we were told to put our personal items in the cart where they placed our clubs which we did. After paying $150 for the round, I arrived back to my cart. Clubs were there, but my personal items were not. I asked one of the attendants, a heavily bearded gentleman with a Houston Oilers mask (I believe), for some help. I told him what had occurred and his response was, "that's impossible, IF you actually placed your personal items in the cart, they would be in the cart." No further help was offered. It took two more requests from our group of 7 golfers to get some help to find my belongings. The same gentlemen continued to say it was not possible, but did finally offer to help drive me around to see if we could find my belongings. "Are you getting in the cart or not" he said. We found them on the driving range in a private members cart that they were using to transport clubs. He took zero ownership for the error, basically called me a liar, and offered no apology. Unfortunately this level of rudeness will result in 7 golfers, two of which were considering buying a second home at PGA West, to never return to this course. Hopefully this feedback will provide an opportunity for PGA West management to coach it's employees on the importance of Customer Experience, and if an error is made, by simply owning it and being helpful would have made all...
Read moreYour staff members at PGA West Nicklaus/Stadium courses were unprofessional, terrible, rude and snobby and unfortunately they are running your beautiful golf courses. We had traveled 7 hours that day to golf that included 2 groups of golfers golfing at your facility. Your staff members came around 4 times during our round to check our receipts. We couldn’t enjoy our round at all, it was very frustrating and unprofessional. And to top it off they also had us show proof of receipts at the end of our round as well. So a total of 5 times, is this normal protocol for PGA West golf courses? We gathered them up and gave it to your staff member at the clubhouse once our round was over. All he had to say was “Nevermind we don’t need them anymore!” Instead of simply apologizing and saying “sorry for the inconvenience through out your round and thank you for providing the receipts.” Needless to say it was a terrible golf experience, and I will never golf at any of the PGA west courses again. Im sure you have plenty of golfers playing your courses and probably don’t care about this review or our experience for our groups!
We also played Indian Wells and Classic Club that weekend and we had a much better experience at those courses! Their staff members were amazing and very welcoming! Maybe you should have your staff members get trained by them in order to provide your guests a better...
Read moreUpon arriving early morning on 4/24/25, 6:20 AM, I was greeted by the staff and he grabbed my bag to bring around back, very friendly. When I went to pay for the round, the lady, who looked like she may have been doing inventory, seemed bothered that I was there and was ready to pay.
Driving range and warmup green were great. I played as a single on the course and was forced to ride with a random from the 3some I was paired with. Not really a fan of this as there are plenty of carts at the cart barn just sitting there.
The course was overall decent but the bunkers were terrible. Having the 7:12 am tee time, I expected them to be raked and untouched. There were plenty that weren’t raked and a lot of them that were wet. Some even had areas where a pool of water was still present at the low spot (this was the case on the island green on the par 5 back bunker).
Having been the passenger to the random person on the cart, they wanted to wait at the 18th green for their friends behind us. Not having my own cart, I had to pack my items there and walk. Not the best experience paying for a certain expectation of being able to...
