Charlie's Market — Local services in La Veta

Apparently our money wasn't as good as the folks that came out as we walked in at the cream counter. We approached the counter immediately after they exited with their ice cream. The young man working behind the counter looked at us, saying nothing as he proceeded to remove his gloves and leave the counter. He then began to playfully argue with the other young man at the register about who was going to help or talk to us. I guess they decided as the first young man came and told us that they were closing and actually the entire store closed in 5 minutes (although there were a few other customers wandering the store). The closing hours isn't what was offensive, but the behavior of both young men was appalling. Seems that the employees here need some customer service training. The first young man could have politely addressed us immediately as we approached the ice cream counter to say they would no longer be serving customers. We won't be returning or recommending this business...

Will not recommend this establishment to family and friends or anyone else that inquires about it.We stopped for some ,what we hoped would be, a cold sweet icecream cup or cone .As we walked in an elderly couple walked out with their icecream cups in hand . As we approached the icecream bar the associate proceeded to walk away from behind the bar without a single word of acknowledgment. We were left standing there for quite some time before being told that the store would be closing in 4 min.This being while there were customers still shopping and some coming in. I'm not sure, but last time I checked money spends the same no matter what race ,or color one is . I have read some of the other reviews about how friendly and helpful the employees are ,apparently all that was lost with me and my family .Extremely...

We stopped for a birthday ice cream treat, and boy -- was it a TREAT! My husband got a single cone, and it was definitely a scoop-and-a-half. My mom got a single cup, and it was dang-near a triple! Moreover, they were running low on the flavor she requested, and Chris went and got more. I ordered the banana split -- Lickety Split -- and WOW!!... Each scoop of the three flavors (of my choice, out of a dozen options) were the size of softballs, loaded with whipped cream and cherries.
