Best haunted house hands down. If I could give more stars I would!! Weâve been to a dozen this year from Ohio to PA & this one is what we were looking for! This isnât your average haunted house with loud music and strobe lights and animatronics popping up left and right. This one relies on actors and making you uneasy in ways the others donât. The silence you encounter makes it feel totally unique- itâs scary! All haunted houses say theyâre scary but this one actually is! Itâs done so differently than the others⌠it breaks it down to the interaction between you and the actors. It starts as soon as you walk in too! Donât get me wrong, the set is theatrical, itâs done so well though. It all makes sense and has a theme. Get the touch pass! It made the experience! They do take advantage of you having it! They may be a little extreme so do not get it if youâre thinking itâll be light touching! Itâs not. Thatâs what I was looking for though so I was pleased. One chainsaw guy went at my feet so I backpedaled, he kept coming, and I fell! I wasnât hurt⌠just my ego⌠and he was a gentleman and helped me up before he pushed me away! Another highlight is you go through with the number in your group- they will not mix people into groups. We had two so we went there as two. So many places mess this up and ruin it because it turns into an assembly line. This one got it right! Granted⌠we did catch the group in front but we couldâve walked fast or them slow. No issue, we were able to fall back and creep for a minute to space it out and no one caught up from behind. They did ample timing and spacing and it is so very appreciated! I canât say enough good things. The actors were the best Iâve seen. The place is scary⌠I actually was scared to walk. My husband was too although he may not admit it. He was on his toes too. If you get a chance go check them out. This is definitely the standard all others should strive for. After being let down quite a few times this season, this more than made up for it. Thanks for...

My date and I went all in with the VIP and touch passes, and it was worth it. We walked straight to the frontâno waiting, no linesâjust pure adrenaline from the moment we stepped inside. The graphics, sets, and props were Hollywood-qualityâevery detail looked straight out of a horror film. The gore, the lighting, the sound designâit was all perfectly orchestrated to pull you deep into the nightmare. The storyline tied everything together so well that you actually felt like part of the horror movie, not just a spectator. Now, the touch pass? Thatâs where things get wild. The actors are absolutely fearless and completely committed to their roles. My date is 6â4â, and about 225 lbs and they definitely targeted him a bit because of his sizeâit was hilarious and terrifying all at once. Meanwhile, Iâm on the smaller side, so they had a field day with me! I was picked up, carried off, and tossed around more times than I could countâeach time totally unexpected and totally thrilling. At one point, they even shoved us into the back of a SUV with no handles to escapeâit felt so real that my heart was pounding out of my chest. Every turn brought a new shock, a new scare, and a new round of screams and laughter. The scale of the place is massive, and you can tell how much time and creativity went into every inch of itâfrom the big set pieces down to the smallest eerie details. Itâs clear that the creators are passionate about horror and know exactly how to immerse you in it. This wasnât just a haunted houseâit was an experience. The best, most intense, and most impressive haunt Iâve ever been to. If you think youâve seen it all, trust me, you havenât until youâve been to Chippewa Lake Slaughterhouse. 10/10. Unforgettable. Terrifyingly awesome. Iâd do it all over again in...
Read moreThe whole experience was, without any doubt, incredible. So many new additions and improvements made compared to the first two years this haunt opened. Everything from the old timey music, to the unusual smell of a slaughterhouse, to the props made the whole experience overwhelmingly scary. There are actors in the queue line that will take the moment to scare you, which was fun. I purchased the touch pass to see what it was all about, and I have no regrets. I was grabbed, pulled, and even slung over an actor's shoulder and carried off (although I'm 5'2" and 100 lbs so I'm sure that had its perks), and while it was terrifying, I was not hurt in any way. If you have any worries about someone getting physical with you and lacking personal space, do not get the touch pass. You'd be a total Karen if you did and then complained. The actors did a fantastic job at hiding on their sets which fed my anxiety as I entered each room. There were no cliche, gimmicky scenes. Everyone acted great and knew when to pop out at the perfect moment. I screamed, jumped, and even had my eyes start to tear up at some points. The act that truly made my anxiety sky rocket was the man blowing his brains out. There was something about his blank, expressionless face that added to the creep factor. Seriously, 10/10 Towards the end I was brought to the outside sets. They are just as well crafted as the indoor ones. I mean, how often do you walk through a real airplane at a haunted attraction? Overall it took me close to 35 minutes to walk through. I didn't speed walk and took some moments looking at and appreciating all the work put into the rooms. I've visited a handful of Ohio haunts and none came close to Chippewa. It was worth every penny and I look forward to seeing what new horrors...
