I’ve been on the hunt for a pair of women’s waders for quite some time now, but didn’t want to purchase online since I didn’t want to deal with wait times for sending returns/exchanges in the mail. I found this store through the Orvis website yesterday, crossed my fingers, and called asking if they had any available..and they did! I asked if he could put them aside until I got out of work today, and the man on the phone kindly did! Fast forward to today — I drove the 1hr and 15 min from work and hoped for the best. I walked in, told him my name and the gentleman —Freddy — brought me over to a bench so I could try them on. I brought the pair of wading boots I had bought earlier in the week (from another store) and they ended up being too snug on top of the stocking feet. Luckily, he had a pair of wading boots that fit. This is a great shop that carries a wide range of products including, but definitely not limited to Orvis. Also tons of fly tying supplies and outdoor clothing. The shop is modern, clean, and extremely well organized. The current stream conditions (flow rates, etc.) are electronically displayed. The shop also gives a 10% discount to first responders, military, TU, and I believe students. The shop owner was extremely knowledgeable, particularly on the fishing opportunities in NJ and NE PA, and he suggested some good place to try for winter trout. While I was there a relatively new fisherman (by his admission) came in and was given the best most concise instruction on indicator fishing (depth selection and when and how to know when to adjust). I bought a couple Fulling Mill fly boxes, a Orvis Hydros fly reel, with Scientific Angler fly line. The shop owner put the line on the reel with backing, which is standard for most shops.
