Came here to fish but access from the shore is limited to about a half dozen spots plus a long dock near the visitors center - everything else is thick reeds, weeds, or mud. Fishing requires paying a $5 day use permit fee (in addition to parking). Bring cash to pay at the visitors center. Fishing is for bass, goldfish, catfish, and trout.

Read moreA beautiful open space with a paved trail that goes around the lower part of the reservoir and multiple dirt trails that you can take to get to the upper part. It's dog friendly so you'll see lots of people with dogs which is always fun.
Because the path is paved you'll also get strollers but there aren't usually kids bc it's a long trail. It's a popular place to walk so not secluded at all but a lovely loop.
There's a huge parking lot where you have to pay but there is also some free street parking a few blocks away that requires a good hike up the hill.
