My heart breaks as we as mere humans believe we have the right and capability to place a value on God’s soil, a part of heaven on earth, The rock, The Church, Is this not Holy ground?!...The fact that we as humans believe we can simply placed judgement on Body of Christ with reviews and stars scares me... Even the Angels do not not mutter a word against God’s anointing. The Bible provides instruction on how to handle conflict inside the church, there’s nothing new under the sun so there’s no way we developed anymore capabilities to do so. We would be wise to follow it’s instructions, with our motives to please Him, Jesus, and not play judge or jury.
I was lead to worship at Lafayette Vineyard, I can now see why. I can Remember coming the first couple of months and seeking instruction from Kris and Manda. I was so frustrated as they lovely sympathize with my struggles but firmly told me to seek Jesus. I wanted them to tell me, they were leaders of his church, I was sure and confident that they knew what I should do. God had chosen them to be leaders of his church, His Holy Ground, they must know. After, weeks of seeking and lovely getting the same answer and similar prayers that I would seek Jesus. In frustration, I gave in and asked Jesus. I knew Jesus, I was aware of his goodness. Jesus had done so much for my family and had been faithful to us in ways I could have never imagined but along the way. I had confused the two, leaders and Jesus. I thought they were on the same level but that was so incorrect. Jesus is the head and he was inviting me to have a special personal relationship with him. 2 years later, Im now able to sit as feet of Jesus at the altar of my church Lafayette Vineyard and at home. Where He gives me instruction for my life and for my children. I am a single mom, this pass year I can honestly say I have not parent them alone! I am able to bring my complaints and frustration and his faithful to help when I seek him!
What these leaders in the church gave me, it’s priceless. It was an invitation to not just hear about Jesus and ask him for help but for me to gain friendship status with my Lord and Savior. My four children are given the same invitation every sunday in Children/Youth Church. I can’t comment on other churches, not my place but I can say here at the Lafayette Vineyard you’re given an invitation to have an lasting encounter and friendship with The Lord and...
Read moreI can remember the very first day I came to the vineyard, I knew God was in this place and knew that this would be the church that I would raise a family with! My wife and I visited with our first daughter as an infant and have sense then grown into a family of five. I can honestly say that the emotional and spiritual well being and state of my family is a direct reflection of being united and accepted into a family of believers who all go after the heart of God and encourage each other to press forward! From day one, the pastors and leadership have been men and women of their word always seeking truth in love. Always making sure that God is kept first in every situation! Always being self sacrificial no matter what the situation! I have seen our pastors restore homes after storms, feed the hungry, clothe the needy, help with financial burdens, pray for healing, hold countless outreaches to love the community we are in, and never once seek recognition or praise! Jesus said that signs and wonders would follow those that believe. This is exactly what happens at the vineyard! To put it simply, the pastors and leaders of the vineyard are the real deal, authentic and honorable! They practice what they preach, and what they preach is bible based truth with the intent to make Jesus famous in Lafayette, loving every person we come into contact with along the way! But don’t take my word for it, come visit and feel...
Read moreLafayette is a lucky place because we have so many great churches to choose from, for me Vineyard is the most authentic of them all. I started attending here at the end of 2014. I have never met both Pastors and people who are such lovers of Jesus Christ and The Holy Spirit. They honor the entire Trinity and the give the Holy Spirit full access in every service and every meeting. They are God chasers, Jesus pleasers and Holy Spirit seekers. I have a full appreciation and love for the Pastors and Associate Pastors, these are people that have a heart for the lost and the broken people of this city. The life that they lead is the same that they preach on the pulpit. They have a heart to love us and all that surrounds us. They speak truth without judgement. They believe in serving Christ Jesus the way God ordained it to be. They walk in discernment of the Holy Spirit the way God created us too. They have helped me and my family tremendously in the years we have attended. They are the type of Tribe that you want to lock arms with for the Good, The Bad and The Ugly. I am so blessed God allowed me to be a part of...
