My husband and I are thrilled that we worked with Laura Vance at the Orchard Nursery and Florist in Lafayette on the floral arrangements for our wedding day! She has amazing energy and is genuinely excited to work with newly engaged couples. We met with her at Orchard to take a look at the flowers she suggested, which went perfectly with our romantic garden venue. She was very creative in working with texture and color to make a simple and elegant flower arrangement, which is just what we wanted. My breath was taken away by the beauty of the draped flowers on the arbor and she matched our concept of short centerpieces with soft colored flowers. Our wedding party also loved the stunning flower choices of the bouquets, boutonnieres, and wristlets. She also thoughtfully asked if we would like touches of different flowers for the best man and maid of honor and she created the most darling flower girl crown for our 11 month old flower girl. These exquisite flowers brought that romantic feel to our wedding day. Laura was well prepared, on time, and worked seamlessly with the other vendors to get the flowers arranged perfectly. I recently visited Orchard Nursery for their Christmas Tree ornaments sale, and I must say, it was an absolutely enchanting experience! Late review- visited in Early August, 2021 when driving into the facility I literally remember being slightly dumbfounded by the sheer size of this nursery. I think I honestly spent 2-3 hours just browsing every area. If you’re into traditional flower gardens- check, vegetables- check, all kinds of trees- check, roses-check, California natives-check, whole giant succulent corner- check, tropical plants and a pond with turtles-check, oh and did I mention the giant indoor plant section that literally looks like a jungle and is so dense with plants you can hardly tell where plants begin and end- yeah they have that too. but wait there’s more: cute home decor, a separate cottage with other slightly upscale home goods, then you tack on the massive selection of pottery both ceramic glazed and terra cotta plus some really awesome looking other pieces in almost and size, color, shape, texture or material you could want.
