Read moreA decent place to park before getting to Atlanta or if youâre delivering and are spent at the end of the day I paid the $10 but I donât see the point they close at night and nobodyâs checking but nonetheless
Shirleyâs country kitchen is pretty sad. I went in at about 430. They have no menu. They have a small if you wanna call it buffet with fried chicken baked chicken, fried tilapia, mashed potatoes, vegetable Salisbury steak but they were almost out they give you one fork and a Styrofoam plate and they serve you you do not get to serve yourself . They had no iced tea were out of sodas and just looks rather poorly run.
This place looks like it used to be really really hopping. Maybe in the 70s and 80s, but now itâs fallen into disarray and of course is owned by the Indian Punjabi.
Itâs almost like a time capsule. They have a garage a restaurant a huge parking lot for cars and trucks. You could see how the architecture was good, but it is just basically been left to rot, which is sad.
With some general cleanup and getting somebody to run that restaurant property, this could be a very, very nice spot. The restaurant has a ton...
Read moreThe store has a nicely varied selection of drink and snacks. Itâs very clean. However, I stopped here for 2 reasons: itâs very close to my delivery and the reviews mentioned the showers. But after Iâd already parked and started my break, I was told there were no showers. So I paid $10 to park close (worth it- especially compared to the amount the big box chains charge), the lot is need of repairs, doesnât seem to offer much in the way of security for the price, the restaurant didnât open at all, there were no hot food options available in the store and no showers. Thank goodness I keep extra gallons of water and I have a kettle to heat water for a quick wash up. And Iâm really grateful I have plenty of space to keep groceries and the kitchen appliances to cook for myself. So, in all, the most advantageous thing about this particular âtruck stopâ is that it is close to the industrial park a lot of us are coming to. Other than that, if you canât cook for yourself, stop before you get here to get what you need- then come if you still want to park close...
