Dollar General — Local services in Lake City

Not only is this a nice place to shop but the workers there are so nice and awesome. They know us when we come in just from us coming in there. They are always friendly and personal. Id rather shop at this particular store than any other one in lake city. I do shop at them all as a matter of fact but feel more at home right here. I went into another store today and literally heard the manager talking on the phone with an employee about a dispute. I heard the wholeq story and not only did she tell the employee over the phone that the employee and her the manager was quotee "the only ones who knew" after she hung up with the employee her and several employees preceded yo talk about the other employees hardship in the middle of the store. I heard everything and I was mortified. I almost left my things and left espically when she retoldd the employee on the phone that she was in the back of the store and no one could hear her. I was not the only customer shopping around her at the time. I will probably never go there again...

This DG is convenient and has a friendly and helpful staff. CON: Parking lot is awkward and can get congested quick. MAJOR CON: For some reason it is nearly IMPOSSIBLE to use the DG app in store to scan, to clip coupons, to check if a sale applies. I have great mobile data. Clerks say its all carriers. Its bad enough that you gotta HAVE an app for every store, event & restaurant.... Super sucks when you have them and have to walk to the parking lot...

Extremely familiar with this location due to close proximity of my lake city residence. Found everything no problem. I have the layout mapped in my head. Go to check out and the line is down an aisle similar to an amusement park line 🤣. Temporarily short staffed but another cashier stepped up to the mic from the darkness. So....a duet with only a bassline 🏆. Yeah... i like that . Back...
