K C's Produce — Local services in Lake City

For a family on a budget and you want good food that doesn't have pesticides and all that awful stuff this is the place to go. They carry your stuff out for you they take it to your vehicle they're very nice and very nice employees they're very helpful. I will always go to this place for now on I love it there's stuff is a lot cheaper than most places and you don't have to worry about all that bad stuff being on it. They also have a shopping cart that has bags of vegetables and other stuff for a dollar which is awesome for people that are on a budget and can't afford a lot and you definitely get your money's worth on vegetables and fruits everyone should check this place out especially if you're on a budget. They also have sugar cane which you don't see him very many places and they have sugarcane syrup and they have homemade jams it's just a really cool place to check out. I’ve shopped at KCs off and on for the past 13 plus years - the entire time I’ve lived in Lake City. I was always impressed with their fresh produce, eggs, locally grown honey, etc. as well as their customer friendly staff. My impression of them has risen even higher over the past few weeks. Immediately after the CDC advised Americans to wear masks in public places, to carefully observe social distancing, and limit capacity of stores to promote social distancing I stopped by KCs assuming I would be the only person wearing a mask. Wrong!! EVERY employee was wearing a mask! Someone was attending the front door to limit the number of shoppers at one time! Inside the store an employee was obviously sprucing up and cleaning commonly touched areas!! Kudos to KCs for taking this pandemic seriously and doing all they can do to protect their customers and...

A hidden produce gem! I've actually known it's been here for many years but it's been quite some time since I've visited. They have everything from coconut to cilantro, if you can think of a fruit or vegetable, then they probably have it. Prices are outstanding too along with the quality. We will never spend our money at Publix, Walmart, or Winn Dixie on produce again. Especially Publix, their prices have been outrageous. There was also a nice gentleman who helped my mom with her bags of produce to her car, which I thought was very nice. It's not a very big store at all but it is packed full of fruits and veggies. They even had a shopping cart full of 1.00 grab bags of produce, which is crazy. I find it almost impossible to buy anything for a dollar these days.
