Especially with masks nowadays it can be hard to breathe sometimes. However the assistant manager, Brian, was a breath of fresh air! It has now been virtually a year since COVID hit and since then this has been the best customer service I have experienced. He was extremely helpful, funny, kind, and enthusiastic. If he worked for me he would be placed into the next management position avaliable and given an immediate raise. Great place to buy food and other household items. Decent prices beats most other places. However, this store continues to be plagued by a very slow checkout process. Seriously, once or twice could be overlooked, but when your family has all experienced the same thing numerous times, you know it's true. The cashiers have absolutely zero sense of urgency when they check you out. Dollar Tree across the street puts you to shame in this regard! Always hesitate to shop here with this as a concern. I am so disgusted with the way i was just treated in the store on Socrum Loop in Lakeland... I spent a little over $200 today in the Winter Haven locations & all I wanted to do tonight was return a few items & purchase other things but the idiot who was working would NOT do my transaction because I bought the stuff at another location, as she put it but she did return my box of Nabisco saltines??? I've worked as a Store Manager in retail for quite some time & none of my employees would've handled that like she did... I won't be back there...
