Mi Pueblo Flea Market — Local services in Lakeland

They do not want white vendors in their market and made it very clear on Sunday. We have a jewelry business and booked into the market for Saturday. Rent was $20 per space and we took 2.They put us right on the main aisle and although the foot traffic was very slow we did gross a few dollars. They promised Sunday to be really good so we came back. They doubled the rent and then put us all the way in the back all by ourselves with barricades to stop cars from driving through. It also stopped people from walking through. Out of the thousands of people who were there we saw maybe 50 people total and they were not coming to see what we had. Even though I speak Spanish they ignored us. Glaringly ignoring us. What a horrible experience. It’s no wonder we were the only white vendors there....

Market was not a friendly experience at all. Visited more than once. They charge for parking (to pay for their upgrades they are doing for the soccer playing areas) and other things. Never was charged to park, for over 20 years with prior owners, different type of market at that time for sure. Not geared for non foreign speaking individuals, need a translator, or are you ignored. Didn't purchase items at 3 places due to this issue. Most of the Long time vendors were pushed out, forced to find other places to sell due to the style of products they want to promote, and was advised by a few of the former vendors which is truly sad. There are all kinds of places to go locally for Flea Market shopping, this will not...

Mi pueblo is a great place to enjoy with family and friends any day of the week.

You will find fresh produce, clothes, gadgets,speciality Mexican and south american arts and crafts,tools, plants,trees,the list is endless🙂

One thing,I personally love is their food trucks,bars/restaurants throughout the complex.

Note...parking can be chaotic due to the popularity of the place so,I recommend you get there as early as possible.

"Restrooms" is another problem,yes they are available ,but they need to be upgraded and constantly maintained....A complex this big and visited needs a couple buildings specifically design for customers...
