WARNING. Don't eat food from here please.š Myself and family last night experiene was aweful and our movie was ruined by a hot tempered 55-65 year old looking male who works there. His tone was aggressive he rudely interrupted myself and family while we tryed to watch the movie I paid for. He lied and said it was because my car taillight was on but isn't a taillight on when most cars are turned on? Out of the previous 3 workers who had asked me if my tail lights could go off they were kind and understanding that my tail lights couldn't go off. Besides! One of the workers who had already asked me about my taillight we both had already MADE SURE IT WASN'T BOTHERING THE DRIVERS BEHIND ME. Although, I handled myself professionally with the hot headed guy. The money I paid last night was lost value and not valued there. That employee was having a very bad night and made a choice to put it onto me and my family. He wanted to have things his way no matter what and he did to much last night. Furthermore, I would NOT recommend people or there pets to visit here. I insist you visit another drive in movie or better yet go to CMX Cinemas Lakeside in Lakeland, Florida to watch your movies inside. It's only about $3 more for your tickets but you get your money worth. It's stunning, relaxed, peaceable, the food and snacks are Good. If the kids won't keep quiet or become bored they have an arcade there. The Leadership there handle things in a Very Professional manner and set an excellent example for employees and future employees to follow. Most importantly at CMX Cinemas Lakeside in Lakeland, Florida they DO NOT interfere with your movie, unless something Sincerely Seriously is Wrong or Dangerous. I Love Going To The CMX Cinemas Lakeside Thearters in Lakeland, Florida. We Always Leave...

There is a concession stand with pizza, drinks, nachos, popcorn of course and even ice cream. It is open through the first movie and then after that, I believe only until 15 minutes into the second movie. You can stay for one movie or stay for the second at no extra charge. Also you can request a radio. They don't have many, so get there early to request one.
Make sure to BRING MOSQUITO REPELLENT during the warm months. Those mosquitoes out there are there for a feast and you will be the main course if you are unprepared. They sell mosquito coils and some other mosquito wipe at the concession stand. I know from experience that the coil doesn't work. Bring your own stuff.
Bring chairs and even a blanket to sit under the stars. If your sitting outside of the car and you won't be near the vehicle speaker you will want a radio or you won't hear a thing. That's about it.
I took off a star because the last couple times (twice in one month) the ladies bathroom has been in bad shape. I would say it dropped from good condition to fair-almost poor condition. It wasn't always that way, so I don't know what's going on.
Otherwise, the experience is a great one. We will be back soon!
Attached is a picture of the line leading up to the ticket booth. For new releases, there is usually a line, so give yourself a good half hour at least. It does not matter if you are on the driver side line or passenger side line, they will both take you to...
Ā Ā Ā Read moreSilver Moon Drive-In is absolutely fantastic. First, their admission prices are very fair. Second, their concession stand prices are extremely good. A large popcorn gets you a free refill (as of this writing 09/09) and a large soda gets you a free refill. You can't beat that! Third, the parking spaces are huge allowing for plenty of room between cars. Especially helpful if you decide to sit outside your car! Fourth, they offer a portable speaker for the mere price of just $3 (as of this writing 09/09). This is great for you not running your car battery down. Fifth, the entire place is extremely clean. The parking lot, the concession stand and the restrooms. Sixth, the people that work there are extremely friendly and polite. This place is very family friendly. That includes 4-legged family members with fur coats according to their website! They do have one request. They ask that you buy something from the concession stand, as that is where they actually make their money. Their small admission fee is not enough. This is by design, however. They are trying to keep this as an affordable, family friendly form of entertainment. Considering their concession stand prices, that's not a bad deal! Bottom line. As one of the few remaining drive-in theaters left in Florida, you simply can't beat them! Do yourself and your family a favor! Go "old school" and go watch a movie at the drive-in! You know, just like you (or your parents!) used to do! You won't be...
