First off we brought a 12 foot 593 lb gator after hours on the weekend. They did not have appropriate facility for us to off load this gator into their cooler. We had to call friends at 2 am for them to come and help load him in the cooler. It almost didn't happen. Second when two different people instructed him (I believe Keven) on how we wanted the gators (we had two gators) to be cut, trophy cut minus the feet and the head detached. We received the 12 ft gator with the head still attached to the hide along with the feet still attached. The 9 ft gator they did correctly. When I called to complain, he was rude and wanted me to come up there and fight him. I will never do business with Tropical Star Seafood again. I will drive to Clermont before I go back there and I live 5 miles away from Tropic Star Seafood. Poor customer service from start to finish. Only giving one start because that is the...

I dropped a 11ft gator off to them 3 weeks ago and called them to let them know what I wanted processed and how. I asked if they could tenderize and send the meat through a cuber. They said they could. Everything was fine until I got the meat back home, thawed out a couple packs to fry and all of the meet had fat and silver skin all over it. I thought it might’ve been just a few packs like that but turns out it’s all 50lbs of it. It was also cut into bite size pieces and obviously not sent through a cuber or tenderized. What a complete waste of quality meat. They did a very lazy job on the processing of the meat and for $380 it was a complete waste of money. I will definitely not be going back there. We saw the sign on Drane Field Rd and decided to check out the ‘Seafood Market’ Met Michael Coats who answered every question I had! We bought the Chesapeake Bay Sea Scallops 12U. Gotta tell you they were AMAZING!! Michael said they were getting in fresh caught grouper the next day and I said I’d be back to get some. Sure enough, came back the next day and the grouper was waiting to be filleted. It was so fresh and perfectly cut ( I bought 1/2 of the fish!) Invited my in-laws for dinner and we had a feast!
