I had a similar experience as Nick (from 5 months ago)... At 2:10 today (8/29), I walked up as a single, with no tee time as I have done many times in the past (and as recently as last Friday). When I asked the lady in the Pro Shop if she had room for a single , she said "No, we're full". I asked "all day?" She said "Yes, All Day" This seemed unlikely since there were maybe fifteen cars in the parking lot. There was a twosome on the tee and no one else waiting to tee off, nobody on the putting green. No Starter in the booth. She was polite but insisted that there was no room for a single. I didn't argue, I just made a tee time for tomorrow. I put my clubs back in my truck but decided to putt some on the practice green and watch the huge rush of golfers. After about 5 minutes (it's 2:25 now and the 1st hole is completely empty) the Starter comes back to the booth. With my friendliest face possible, I approach the Starter and told him I was a single with no tee time and that I was told there's no room for a single. Before I could say anything else, the Starter pulled out his attitude and said, very rudely, "I have 2 foursomes coming and we're full all day!" Seeing that this was going nowhere, I turned and left and got stared down all the way to the parking lot. Not sure if this is the same Starter that Nick experienced, but it wouldn't surprise me if this guy's name was Jim. From where I was parked I could see the 1st tee. The foursome teed off at 2:45. I would have been on the 3rd hole by then. Guess they don't want single...
Read moreThe course itself is well-maintained, with the greens in excellent condition. However, the customer service experience was disappointing, largely due to the behavior of the starter, Jim. After we completed the front 9, we were told by Jim that we could not proceed to play the back 9 because the course was 'booked up.' This was incredibly frustrating, as the first hole was wide open with no one ahead of us. Jim was not only unhelpful but also rude, arguing with us instead of offering any solutions or attempting to accommodate us. His unprofessional behavior and complete lack of basic customer service skills were shocking.
It seems that the staff on the golf side is made up of older gentlemen who may not have experience in customer service roles, leading to poor interactions with guests, difficulty booking tee times, and confusion with transactions.
While the maintenance crew does an excellent job keeping the course in great shape, the overall management and customer service culture could benefit from significant improvements. If the ownership of this course were to hire more competent, customer-focused staff, it would likely lead to a better experience for guests and increased revenue...
Read moreFirst, they have a new rule so only people above the age of 21 can get a cart, which is discrimination. Second I play golf once a week with my son and his two sons one of which has Down syndrome. My grandson with downsyndrome can’t be left home and so we bring him with us when we golf. At all the other courses in the area have never raised a problem with this. Here they said not only could he ride with us when we had 3 golfers, he would also need to pay a green fee and rent clubs. Absolutely ridiculous. I’ve been playing here for 25 years and I will...
