Lakeview Apartments — Local services in Lakeville

My review echos many of the reviews found here. First, the property manager Kelly was very kind and advocated on our behalf when we had issues, and there were many. The apartments are located in a nice, quiet area. The pros stop there. The apartments are not soundproofed at all, meaning we could hear our neighbors walking, talking, and their oversized dog often ran on the floor, which sounded like a stampede. It is anxiety inducing and quite stressful. Imagine sitting down at 10 PM to watch TV and a dog running across the floor, dropping their bone, and their owner throwing it across the floor. It's very loud so much so that we felt embarrassed having guests over and were often awakened throughout the night. The apartments are also cheaply built, having only primer on the walls, vents misinstalled and hanging from the ceiling, etc. The washer/dryer is also cheap and would not dry our clothes on the first cycle. We had several maintenance requests over our ten month stay there, and they were always kind and responsive. Finally, the management company is combative, profit driven, and not courteous. We had a few issues, too long to detail here, and were always met with a hostile personality from the other end of the line. All in all, I cannot stress enough how bad the noise is. Things have went down hill since we moved in. I will say that I do enjoy the area it's mostly nice an quiet. We've always had loud neighbors (as many have said wall ate thin here). Kids running around above is really loud. My daughter would wake up due to sounds of the neighbors above. Our carpet was new when we moved in but started coming apart around the edges of the living room like they didn't do it 100%. My bathroom was not redone at all. The trim is tore up and they pained o. It. The door was never replaced. My bedroom door is tore up due to whoever lived here last it looks like they had a dog. We've had problems with the internet company as well out here. Parking is a joke. If I get off work late I sometimes have to park around the building or at a whole other building. The first property manager here (Kelly) was amazing and I wish she was still here. She walked around and made sure it looks nice. I've had a bike and a few other things just sit right outside my window for a long time. Ants are awful when it starts to get nice outside. They try to get people out here to help though. They do not offer any month to month or anything less than a year. Breaking g a lease is rough. Rent went up by 50$. I think that's...

This review is solely for quality of the new apartment buildings. It does not reflect management, which I am very happy with. 5 stars for the property manager and the management company! They are phenomenal! I would gladly move in to a different apartment or living situation that is run by this company. I was one of the first few tenants to move in to the new buildings, which look great from a distance and I was very excited to be living in a new building! But after the a couple months I started to see that these apartments were poorly constructed. There is minimal if any sound dampening and or insulation. I can hear every little sound and movement of my neighbors through the walls and ceiling. I can even hear the third floor tenants flush their toilet and I'm on the ground floor. The shower drain was installed without a basin, meaning there's literally nothing connecting the drain pipe to the shower. No surprise, it flooded the floor. Thankfully I'm on the bottom level so no one else...
