Urban Pizza — Restaurant in Lakeville

This tiny Pizza shack is a little slice of heavy in the middle of nowhere! LOL, we were staying at Potato Creek State Park & decided since we came in late to just grab a bite from in town. Well, "town" isn't very close. We did notice MJ's on our way into South Bend & with it being Sunday all the little eateries were closed in the smaller towns. MJ's was still open. We walked in to find teens & a couple of older staff busy making pizzas, salads, & sandwiches. All had smiles & were joking with each other. They were enjoying what they were doing! You can watch the whole process as there are no walls to obstruct the view of the building station, tables, & ovens. You can watch as they pile on all your goodies & place your food in the oven. I mean pile! They don't cheat you on any of the fixings! On that first night, we had a Philly Sandwich & a Chicken, Bacon, and Ranch Sandwich, both were wonderful. Loaded & cooked to perfection. A few days later we order an 18" meat pizza to share with friends. This thing was huge! Loaded with meats & cheese. It was amazing. We had plenty leftover for lunch the next day! Look man, I’m not one to write bad reviews. Tried this place at least 6 times now. Even since it’s been “MJ’s.” Keep saying to ourselves, “let’s just keep trying.”

Horrible…. every.single. time. I’m not looking for perfection. But dang man….its a constant disappointment. The high school kids running the joint clearly don’t care at all. No owner in sight, every single time. Tonight it’s a Friday. Called my pizza in. They told me 30 minutes. I come in at 25 minutes. My pie is on top of the oven and it’s the ONLY one. Clearly not busy yet, which is fine. But to have my pie cooked, (wayyy over cooked. Hard as a freaking rock) 20 minutes prior to even getting there, just sucks.

Try to enjoy “national pizza day,” with this rock 😂

Just a lame joint, clearly don’t care about any type of quality. Let the kids run the place and send the pizza out at whatever quality their heart desires haha.

Picked up take out. Staff is friendly, very clean inside. I just wish they changed the recipes from the former pizzeria… Very let down, pizza was cooked well and the breadsticks were good. Bacon on the pizza was very cheap tasting, overall taste of the pizza was boring. For almost $30 for a 16” one topping and side of breadsticks you really expect more.

Gave them a try given there is not much close, but I would rather do a 50 minutes round trip to a “big box” pizza place then come back. Disappointing, and expensive for the quality that...
