Amish Furniture Haus — Local services in Lakewood Township

My wife and I are very disappointed on our last order we purchased through Amish Furniture Haus. We ordered a custom bed frame and we were disappointed when we brought the bed frame home and noticed the stain color we requested was not the stain color that was put on the bed frame. We requested a stain color of Sierra CF7134. Which is one of the standard stain colors use by the Amish community. We've brought several pieces of furniture through Amish Furniture Haus and several other Amish stores in Minnesota and always requested the Sierra CF7134 stain and never had a issue with the stain color until now.

My wife called Tim and complained that the stain color was not correct. Tim said that there is a tolerance range that made this color acceptable on the bed frame. We sent Tim a picture of the bed frame next to some other of our furniture to show him that the stain was a lot darker then our other pieces. Tim called the finisher and they agree to redo the stain on the bed frame.

Since we live in the twin cities area, we are 165 miles away, which is a 3 hour drive to Amish Furniture Haus. Tim said the only way we can have the stain redone is if we bring the bed frame back up to their store and pick it up after it is redone. My wife told him that this is not right that we have to bring it back up to him, especially when it was their mistake and that they make deliveries to the twin cities and they can easily pick up the bed frame and deliver it when it is done. It is not fair that we have to take on the cost of gas and our valuable time to deliver the bed frame to them when it was their mistake.

I experienced the comfort of a bentback swivel glider while vacationing in 2023. My mission for 2024 was to acquire a couple of these chairs. I'm happy to report that I now have two Walnut Lane Poly bentback swivel gliders on my deck. I wasn't able to locate this type of chair locally, so I expanded my search and found Amish Furniture Haus. I didn't visit the store because I live 400+ miles from the store but that wasn't a problem. My purchase was done via email plus a couple phone calls of which one was just to give me a status report on my order. The purchase from start to finish was handled by the same individual who was very professional and friendly. Nothing but great things to say about Amish Furniture Haus! We’ve had our kitchen table for about 4 months now and it’s truly the best purchase we’ve ever made. Not only is it solid, sturdy and going to last through our kids (we have a very busy toddler), it’s also beautiful. We did a custom build off a piece they had in the showroom, and it turned out exactly how we wanted. They have a fantastic selection of wood species and stains which helped us get what we were looking for!
