Smartpool — Local services in Lakewood Township

I recently purchased a Smart Pool 4i pool cleaner from Amazon. I was a little bit skeptical because of the relatively inexpensive price tag compared to others with the same features. In ground robotic pool cleaners can easily exceed $800 - $1000 price tag. The unit started doing a fantastic job but would shut off prematurely. Its designed to run approx. 2 hrs with auto shut off. I then contacted Amazon and they immediately emailed me a return shipping label. The problem was they were sold out and could not replace it. So I decided to call the manufacturer Smart Pool customer support out of NJ. I spoke to Joann (mgr /specialist) who was efficient, pleasant and very knowledgeable. After some trouble shooting she decided to replace the unit. I sent her proof of purchase and received a shipping return label. They shipped me a newer model the "Pro-Kleen (PK100) robotic pool cleaner. It has a intelligent navigation system and does a fantastic job cleaning my pool and walls. Purchased a smartpool scrubber 60 plus automatic pool cleaner 580.+dollars May 25, 2018 used it June, July, August, sept 2018. Opened pool May 2019 July 1,2019 (total use 6 months) found it Dead in water. Contacted smartpool after several attempts to have item replaced or repaired they offered me 279.00 store credit.... and advised me they no longer sell or service pool cleaners??? Called back to speak to supervisor and was told the customer service lady was supervisor. I’d rather a cash refund so I can get another cleaner from someone else. This company is bad... poor...

Company exiting robotic cleaning line...won't provide parts or repair for any consumer that's spent $1,000+ on their product. Keep this in mind before purchasing from them...if they produce a sh*tty product that you buy, they may just exit the business line and you are stuck with a non-working device that you can't buy parts for. My pool guy also can't get parts from them, so this review is more than just a disappointed customer...it applies to the dealers of their products as well. Hopefully they go out of business soon...
