If I could give KNC 50 stars, I would! They are really fantastic! KNC is a company run by two brothers—Gokhan, the older brother, treated us like family. Ozkan, the younger brother, who usually is in the shop and cutting the slabs, is also very patient. I mostly interfaced with Gokhan, who was just wonderful!

When we first visited KNC’s shop in January 2021, Ozkan (the younger brother) was very patient in showing different samples of countertops; we looked at what they had and he also gave us names of other marble/granite suppliers where we could visit to look at additional marble slabs. KNC fabricates and installs the marble slabs which you select. We really appreciated the fact that they weren’t pushy or rushing us. They were very patient.

After visiting 3 additional marble suppliers over the course of a month, we settled on a rare quartzite material, which was in limited supply. One of the suppliers had the material that I was interested in purchasing (Cristallo quartzite), I selected the 2 slabs needed for the job; it was shipped to KNC’s location, and when it arrived at KNC’s shop, Gokhan discovered that the slabs were cracked and unsuitable for installation—he even sent me a video pointing out the defects. I had no idea, as I am not an expert, but they are; so they really look out for their customers since they guarantee their work for 2 years. KNC did not want to install defective slabs. We were so grateful for the time and care Gokhan took to ensure that we were receiving a quality product. We then waited a few more months for the marble supplier to receive a new shipment of Cristallo quartizite. Once it arrived, Gokhan joined us at the supplier to personally inspect the slabs with us—we inspected many slabs in the lot, and he looked closely at the two slabs that I selected to ensure that there were no cracks or defects. Again, Gokhan took such time and care to make sure I was getting the best product and one which I would be happy with. Then the marble supplier tried to unpcharge me an additional $3,000 since the damand for kitchen slabs are very high—but Gokhan helped me to negotiate the price back down pretty close to the original price quoted in February 2021 for Cristallo quartzite. Again, Gokhan really looked after my interests, making sure that we were happy and not taken advantage of.

Then the fun began! Gokhan came about 3 months earlier to our house to initially measure the kitchen counters, but he came to measure a second time, ensuring exact measurements, truly implementing the wisdom and patience of: “measure twice, cut once.” I then asked if I could come back to KNC’s shop to specify what sections of the slabs I wanted for the different counters and island in our kitchen, and we also selected a sink. In early July 2021, the work was completed on time, to our delight and satisfaction! I asked for a cutting board from the sink cutout of the Cristallo quartzite—the installers forgot to bring it on the day of installation, so a few days later, Gokhan personally drove and delivered it to us. In my experience in dealing with contractors, I have never worked with people so kind, caring, and patient as Gokhan is, as well as his brother, Ozkan. We were looking for a company to install granite for our outdoor kitchen project. After visiting four different granite stores in my area we were disappointed and confused by the different quotes and tactics used by the salesmen. One local store even insisted that we leave a $500.00 deposit before he would schedule us for an estimate. We did a google search and found KNC Granite in Lanham Maryland.

When we went to KNC it was different. They were straight forward, knowledgeable and appeared to have years of experience. There was no pressure, no fast talking about technics & terminology that we weren’t familiar with. After looking around the store they explained the process and timeline. They were patient and entertained my wife’s many questions. KNC was very professional and about the business of meeting our needs.

During the installation process the guys were very careful, attentive and took their time when installing the granite. They even corrected some leveling mistakes that my build contractor made that could have proven to be a problem later on. After the granite was installed, the contractor returned to put in the gas grill and other appliances. They discovered that their frame was too small for the grill to fit and had to be enlarged. I called Ozkan that same morning around 11:00 a.m. and explained to him my dilemma. His response was “no problem”, and he sent two men over after their lunch and they took care of it. I can’t say that the local fire department would have gotten here quicker. We were super surprised and impressed at the level of customer service given to us. They provided us with 5-Star service at the front end and at the back end of our purchase. I have no reservations about highly recommending KNC Granite for any granite or stone projects. In fact, my daughter just purchased a house and they are fabricating the granite for her new house. Our outdoor kitchen countertop looks amazing. I normally don't do reviews but this warrants one... I've been in our home for 20 years and decided to change my countertops. I went to couple large stores but somehow ended up by KNC. Anyway my intension was to add a breakfast bar as well as the kitchen countertop. Gokhan came over to measure and suggested instead of going with the builders design, I should give it a modern look. I'm glad he suggested this modern design, as now this is where we hang out - why didn't I think of this years ago. Gokhan and my wife selected a slab which is spectacular as what I saw in the large stores were nothing like this. The team was professional and was on time and did an exceptional job that exceeded my expectations. They went above and beyond cutting down my countertops to make that modern feel.
