I've been to this venue for various kinds of events. The most recent included a sit down luncheon for the Webb County Heritage Foundation and a theatre production of Cabaret, but there have been art shows, weddings, and other kinds of receptions as well. The rental cost is worth it for a classy venue like this. I am always impressed by how versatile the interior is. Each time, it appears to be laid out in a different way. Not only that, the location is in the middle of Downtown Laredo's historic district and the ambiance of the neighborhood has changed a lot over the last ten years as local owners and city government have invested millions into revitalizing the area. We went to their Dios de la Muerte festival while we were visiting Laredo and it was awesome! All of the vendors of handmade goods had beautiful things available for purchase and the Catrina and Catrin costume contest was amazing! And all the alters honoring all of the loved ones who have passed away were so beautiful! Such gorgeous costumes! This was a really fun and overall great experience during out trip! Definitely worth checking it out if you happen to be in town late October/early November to celebrate Day of the Dead! The Center for Arts is a gorgeous venue for such a cool festival! A lunch break that cuts into an already small operating hours? Uh, okay but thats only going to hurt your business.

But have a "lunch break, be back by 1PM" sign and not be back by 1:40 and there being groups of people outside waiting out for y'all? C'mon.... What a shame.
