I am writing to express my disappointment with my nursing education experience at Laredo College. Although the instructors were exceptional, Mrs. Yeo's behavior was particularly challenging. Instead of focusing on education, she imposed her cultural values and discipline, frequently referencing her country of origin. Her demeanor was rude and entitled, often boasting about her high income and lavish trips. She showed no respect towards students, treating them as inferior and responding to questions with disdain. Not to mention that she had slapped one of the students hands and made her cry ! !!!! The language barrier posed by her accent and broken English further exacerbated the issue. I question the college's decision to employ her as an educator. My unpleasant experience with Mrs. Yeo led me to leave Laredo two years ago. I have since relocated to Dallas, where I have found numerous alternative nursing programs with invested professors. I highly recommend exploring options beyond Laredo College. Mrs. Yeo's behavior towards students was unprofessional, and her treatment of students as inferior was particularly concerning. In contrast, her behavior towards peers was notably different.
