I am extremely disappointed in 24/7 Cars salesmenship. My 65 year old mother spoke to Clayton, a sales rep, through messenger and personally on the phone about a 2014 Nissan Exterra on Sunday January 26th and throughout the next 3 days. The first thing she asked about is if it had electric power and heated leather seats. He said yes it did. She asked about the condition of the frame/underneath the vehicle and was told it had a clean frame with minimal rust. He had her put a $500 deposit down over the phone to hold the vehicle so no one else would buy it. Fast forward to Thursday January 30th I take an immediate request for a day off from my job because that’s the only day I could get in that short of notice to drive my mother 5 hours to Goshen Indiana to the car lot and we get there around 12pm. She texted Clayton on messenger that morning we were coming and our ETA. We get there and he says the vehicle isn’t quite ready that it needs detailed still and it’s in the service bay on a car lift with no oil in it because their mechanic got tired Wednesday night and would finish the oil change Thursday. He wasn’t coming in until 2:30pm Thursday. I have never heard of someone making an oil change a 2 day job so that tells me something else was wrong with the vehicle. It was covered in dirt inside and out. The underneath was heavily rusted. The tires were bald. How do you charge someone a $500 deposit to “hold” a vehicle that isn’t even ready to drive home 4 days after my mother paid the deposit. We couldn’t even test drive the vehicle and they had $500 of my disabled mother’s money. Clayton told my mother he had other people coming to look at it so he needed the deposit. He said they haven’t had the vehicle long but it was posted on facebook marketplace 3 months ago. Well after we calmly discuss that the vehicle isn’t what she wanted, we were told the $500 deposit is nonrefundable. Spencer the manager tries to offer and find her 3 other different vehicles on the lot that she could check out and maybe buy instead. We did check out and test drive a 2019 Buick Enclave but it wasn’t what my mother was interested in. Claytons excuse is that he misunderstood my mother about the power seats and just thought she meant heated. She specifically said electric power and heated seats. She explained to him on the phone she needs power seats because her left hand is stuck in a position from her arthritis and can not grab and pull or twist levers anymore to move her seat. It sickens me that someone would take advantage of a disabled woman and try to sell her a vehicle that isn’t what she thought it was. He wasted our time and money. I used a whole tank of gas to drive 5 hours there and 5 hours back home which costed me $100. He wasted my PTO from my very important job at the hospital I work at. We left at 3:00pm. Clayton texted my mother at 5:07pm saying the vehicle is ready for us. They close at 6pm. What a joke. And he proceeded to spam call my mother after we left. This place is full of crooked liars. They deserve...
Read moreI bought a 2018 Ford Fusion yesterday. All of the staff here was incredibly nice! Dylan the salesman i worked with was very professional. He seemed very interested in making sure i got the best deal possible. My only complaint would be the cars i looked at all had issues. The car i bought has alignment issues and unbalanced tires. the rest of the car seems solid. Before I looked at this car. I was looking at a 2015 Silverado. Same tire issues, although this truck had far worse issues. I'd found a leak. Not sure if it was an engine leak or transmission. the transmission was coated. The worst thing i found that broke my interest in the vehicle. Was a ticking coming from the head of the motor. These trucks are known for lifters failing due to the displacement on demand feature. With that being said you should always research the vehicle you are wanting to buy thoroughly. It saved my skin this time. The dealership needs to do a better job of going over the cars and fixing what needs to be fixed. Instead of me trying to get them to fix it after i buy it. I had the 2018 fusion brought down from another city. The person who drove it to the place i bought it. They had to of felt the steering pulling and shaking and heard the road noise coming from the tires. The steering wants to pull to the left due to the alignment issue. Not sure if this is specific to this dealer or the other 24/7 cars. For that matter all used dealerships. Its not right to make the customer find issues with your cars and the customer try to get the dealer to fix them. A better inspection needs to be done. This review is getting long winded. My conclusion is this, I had great service but I had to work equally as hard or harder to make sure the vehicle I bought was going to be reliable. I will keep this company in mind when looking for another vehicle.
Update
The 2018 fusion I bought from this dealership. Started having misfire in cylinder 2. Barely 24 hours after the purchase. I texted the salesman 15 mins after closing. He responded with a message that acknowledged my issue. Then said he’s out of office. Very helpful after selling a defective vehicle. The warsaw dealership helped me 30 mins before they opened the next morning. Didn’t solve the issue but it was still kind of them to help me. When I asked the larwill dealership to provide the part. The salesman talked like he was doing me a favor. Instead of trying to do the right thing. I won’t be doing business here again. I’m glad this situation is over and don’t have to deal with them anymore. I’ll be talking my business to...
Read moreIf I could give this place zero stars I would. I found a Volkswagen Beetle on Facebook that I had liked and I had messaged the guy asking for information about it. I told him I was driving from 2 hours away so I wanted him to be upfront about any issues with the car. I knew about the paint in the interior, but I said that didn’t bother me. He said there were NO ISSUES besides the interior was damaged with paint splatters. When I get there, he hands me the key and automatically I notice the key fob is loose. I use to own a Volkswagen and I know that it can cost a pretty penny to get it fixed. Again it wasn’t a huge deal. When I go to start the car, the car struggles to turn on. I noticed there was a patch on the roof since it was a convertible. It had been raining last night and the morning prior. The car has water all around the inside. EVEN THOUGH HE SAID THE ROOF DIDN’T LEAK! The window on the car was sticking out and it didn’t close all the way. There was a HUGE spider living in the car and it had not even been cleaned. VERY UNPROFESSIONAL! The guy tried selling me on two other cars and I test drove one since I had already wasted my time going out there and there was a vibration/rattle coming from the front of the car. When I asked the guy about it, he seemed dumbfounded. He was not giving me straight answers and lied when he would answer me. DO NOT BUY FROM HERE!!!! I WASTED TIME, MONEY, GAS, AND TIME...
